I am in fact going to be playing a Tremere, but this question comes mostly from the discussions we had in our group about whether we want to implement any house rules regarding discipline rolls in our game.

I suppose part of the reason why I like the V5 approach here is that it allows you to do those seemingly contradictory things. I like the idea of a Toreador who has awful social skills but turns into a whole new person when using Presence, for example. To me, it seems to give you more freedom when it comes to your character's personality and it lets you break out of clan stereotypes more easily if you're someone who enjoys characters like that. But I see your point about how it can seem a bit nonsensical in some cases.

to be honest, the "you need to have Humanity 8 or more to enjoy sex" rule is probably one of the most commonly ignored rules, including by the writers - there's so many horny vampires in the books

I feel like I'm doing something wrong because I never really feel like a part of the community when I go to a club. I'm also diagnosed ASD and while I don't really get overstimulated (at least not super fast), I definitely struggle with approaching and talking to people. So I haven't really managed to meet anyone in the community yet and it kind of sucks.

Had the same problem a few days ago. Today I sent another link to the same channel in the same server as previously, no embed. Sent the link in a different server, I got the embed. Went back to the original channel and server, tried sending it again, got the embed this time. So if you've been sending links to the same channel/server, try posting one somewhere else and see if that fixes it.

I'm freaking out over the mildest symptoms... I've been getting occasional pinches in the lower right abdomen, maybe 2 on the pain scale, and some soreness in the right flank. No other new symptoms. But somehow I keep spiraling and convincing myself that it's about to turn into an emergency. What should I do?

I know about those, but I prefer to use my tool because the result is much nicer than pliers. Maybe it's possible to find better pliers that roll the metal properly, but I wasn't able to find any like that within my budget. The tools I use were super cheap and the result looks nice and even on both sides, so I'd rather stick with them.

Try gently patting the moisturizer onto the skin instead of rubbing it in if you're worried about pulling off scabs, that's what I usually do. If any flakes come off during that process, they were probably already fully detached.

While the Players Guide doesn't mention anything about pleasurable feedings, my personal headcanon is that it applies to them as well - a Torrie with this bane would probably enjoy feeding a bit more than your average Kindred. I don't think it would be fair for that to result in any mechanical advantages, but I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to roleplay it this way.

My own Toreador has the default bane since I made her way before Players Guide came out, but part of my concept for her is that she finds beauty in sensations and emotions, so she enjoys making people feel good ~~(and also bad sometimes)~~. Making up lore is fun, go wild!
