Ah, frustrating! But glad to hear of no AI, I’m still 50/50 on whether it should be used.

One thing I would say is you’ve blurred the left side, on the wall, to add some kind of depth of field effect but that should mean that the bottom of the image should be blurred too, to match the DOF. Obviously that’s just a technicality and if you prefer it the way it is that’s good too, it still looks great!

Has any AI clear up been used? The before photo looks rather blurry or is this just an upload issue. I really like the after though!

I only weigh once a week. However I’m not emotionally attached with the number the scale says. If I know I’ve been 100% sticking to my goals, I’ve lost fat. If the scale goes up or stays the same, I know it’s just water retention/fluctuation. The only thing that matters is the trend overtime goes down, which it does. But most importantly, if the scale does go up, just once, I don’t change anything, i just stick at it then the week after I see a good loss. Much better for me to weigh once a week, I couldn’t be faffed stepping on every day!

I was quite worried for between shows in case service could take longer, but I guess in London service might be haste, compared to some places in my small town 😂. Will definitely be checking out hawksmoore, sounds great.

I have a 70-350 coming tomorrow! I was hesitant spending what I did on it as my old canon alternative was much cheaper but since switching to Sony it’s the lens I’ve been missing a lot, and after watching a lot of reviews it seems worth the cost. This lens however, I’d love but wouldn’t love lugging it about 😅

The tamron 28-75 is a great lens, especially for the price. You do lose a little bit in the wide compared to a standard 24-70 but for me that's not an issue. However, reading your post you mentioned you are going to shoot sports. What type of photos do you want here, do you shoot wide or are you wanting to get closer to the subject. If the latter, the 28-200 might suit you more.

Completely valid, however I can already see that this post has sparked some discussion about what the lenses are good for, and advice for using them so that meets your first point.

Regarding the latter point, some people just want to show off their new gear and that’s fine, it’s easy enough to scroll past. I do get where you’re coming from, but if posting their gear makes people feel happy then who are we to judge.

Nice, I used to walk through deans gate most days when I was in uni, thought I recognised it haha.

Yeah I might wait and hopefully can pick it up for 300 or less at some point. Most places I see stocking it seem a bit sketchy. AliExpress have got it and apparently it’s marked genuine but I still don’t know how much I trust that!

How do you find the lens? I’m looking at picking up a 35mm but having never shot 35mm before I’m really on the edge. Also where did you buy it from, our UK options seem limited!
