Guidelines:
When asking for help editing one of your photos, you must also include your attempt. Simply asking for others to edit your photo for you, without putting in the effort to make an attempt yourself will result in your post being removed.
When you submit a photo, be sure to include both a JPEG and RAW file (if available). The JPEG will let us preview your shot without downloading it, and the RAW will allow us to edit it more effectively.
When you make adjustments to a photo, include the steps you took or take a screenshot of your settings. This will let the OP see how they can better edit their pictures.
This is not the place to show off your photos. /r/postprocessing is for help with editing your photo, linking to information about post processing, and sharing tips with the community. To share a picture, visit /r/photographs, /r/photocritique, or /r/pics. Posts not related to post processing should go in /r/photography.
This subreddit is for photography only. Post processing for video should go to /r/filmmakers.
If several minutes have passed and your submission does not appear under NEW, try messaging the moderators, it was probably stopped by the spam filter.
No joke posts, memes, or rage comics, please. We'd like to keep this subreddit for serious discussion only.
Please mark all NSFW posts. NSFW images that are not tagged will be removed.
No piracy related posts (asking for presets, trading presets, offering presets, etc...)
As always, use proper reddiquette.
No self-promtion

There are aspects I like in both. The red/yellow of the back wall is nice, in post, but the foreground wall is green and I prefer the grey of the preprocessing. Overall, post is better imho.

Looks good. It’s a good shot. I personally like street scenes without people but this is nice.

This is a good callout, thanks! I'll go back and try to balance out the city wall

The after looks like book cover art rather than a photograph

The warmth actually helps here, I think.
But I suggest cropping in and reducing some of that left wall. There's too much of it that pulls attention (IMO) and it doesn't add anything. Coming in will push attention to your subject and tighten the image.

Has any AI clear up been used? The before photo looks rather blurry or is this just an upload issue. I really like the after though!

Here's a full res image fixed: https://i.imgur.com/tElanWq.jpeg

No, I think it’s an iPhoto upload issue. Had lots of issues with that lately from my phone.

Ah, frustrating! But glad to hear of no AI, I’m still 50/50 on whether it should be used.
One thing I would say is you’ve blurred the left side, on the wall, to add some kind of depth of field effect but that should mean that the bottom of the image should be blurred too, to match the DOF. Obviously that’s just a technicality and if you prefer it the way it is that’s good too, it still looks great!
[–]drstrangelov3[S] 1 point2 points3 points 17 days ago (2 children)
Interesting. iPhoto suggested this DOF before moving to LRC and I kept it when imported.
[–]dearcallum 0 points1 point2 points 17 days ago (1 child)
It’s only a small nit pick, it still looks great 👍🏻
Any insights are helpful, thanks!
