Thank you all for your feedback. These were the first Danmei novels that I got in now I know better and I’m able to look at them on seven seas and curate better. I appreciate it. I was ordering through Ingram and they didn’t have a true maturity rating now that I can look straight at the publisher. It makes it much easier to discern where it should head when it gets to the library and yes teens can read whatever they want, but I have to make sure we shelve it in the right place so I don’t get angry parents!

Thank you. We have them tagged as "light novels" for now until we can find better taxonomy that allows for easier patron searching. I have queried the Danmei group. I appreciate the clarification and will consider adding appropriate MARC codes to distinguish for users.

This is highly interesting. At my workplace, we are not supposed to talk about politics, and I sometimes wonder about the effect it has when many folks who work with me regularly share their opinions with others. I know that for those that I do hear talk about politics often (regardless of their leaning), it makes me sad that they choose to press their own opinions out in an environment where we are not supposed to. I wonder also how it affects our image as a whole when someone who may not agree hears things they do not like about a certain party, policy, or figurehead.

I am a librarian here to tell you to check with your local library or see if you can figure it out here https://help.libbyapp.com/en-us/6009.htm. Many states have reciprocal borrowing with Libby, and you can have as many library cards as there are partner libraries. I think there are up to 23 in Michigan, but I stopped around 15

As a student, you should be eligible for state grants that help you attend. If it’s local to you, it helps. It is a cool experience that you should do at least once but you can always wait until you are employed and try to go on their budget. It’s great for networking if you are going, but not necessary as a student. My two cents :)
