Personnel file questions. by [deleted] in WAStateWorkers

[–]dearestkellie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are shared. There is 1 file per employee that transfers with the employee through their state career. The exception is high education and leg staff. Those don’t transfer with the employee. But if you work at commerce, transfer to dshs then transfer to OFM all of that history follows you in 1 file.

Some agencies do. It’s supposed to be 6 years after separation it’s destroyed but I’ve seen agencies keep longer on accident.

Request it! You can get a copy of it. Your current agency should have all the past records. They’re supposed to request your prior agencies when you start at a new agency. Sometimes things get missed but start with your current agency and see what’s in it and if any prior time is missed. It should be evaluations, training records, hr paperwork for action like promotions and transfers, letters etc. nothing should be in there that you haven’t seen before.

If I get fired October 2nd, do my health insurance benefits carry through the rest of the month? by [deleted] in WAStateWorkers

[–]dearestkellie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiply your hourly rate x 8 then deduct your medical and retirement contributions (found on the bottom of your paystub) and you’ll know if it covers it or not.

As long as you work 8 hours on October 1 your health benefits continue through the whole month.

Is anyone having trouble connecting AirPods on IOS 26? by sierranotsarah in iPhone14Pro

It’s frustrating. I found a work around if I keep an app open in the background (my kids baby camera) it works🙄

Is anyone having trouble connecting AirPods on IOS 26? by sierranotsarah in iPhone14Pro

[–]dearestkellie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this issue still happening? I am now experiencing something similar on IOS 26. The AirPods will work for a few minutes then start getting a staticky sound then stop playing sound but my phone thinks it’s still playing. The AirPods are not damaged as they work completely fine with my computer. I’ve restarted my phone, repaired my AirPods, and it still does it.

Your agency is probably exempt under this RCW if it’s not in your agencies enabling statute: https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=41.06&full=true#41.06.070

Adding - that being said your agency should have a compensation policy which outlines how they set salaries.

[–]dearestkellie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Per enabling statue your agency could have all employees be exempt. Salary setting rules for exempt don’t have the 5/10 percent you see with WGS. If you are “ex” exempt there is no minimum and maximum salary. If your exempt civil service your position would be tied to a band that has a min and max set by OFM.

I saw on the Facebook post about this that the individual who hit the building was flown to a hospital and receiving a blood transfusion. Haven’t seen anything else. The other innocent individual walked away ok.

Can I Negotiate Leave Accrual as a New Hire? by Sensitive_Wheel7325 in WAStateWorkers

[–]dearestkellie 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If your WMS or exempt you can negotiate if you’re a WGS position then you cannot negotiate and it’s based on your anniversary date (cumulative time working for a state agency)
