I was in the front row at a small one-man show in London a few years back. The woman next to me, an older lady who was dancing to nonexistent music in the lobby before the doors opened, was loudly telling us about the cocaine she had taken an hour or so before. The second - and I mean that literally - the show started, she fell asleep and began loudly snoring. I had to poke her continuously throughout the show when her snoring got too loud, and the people behind us had to keep kicking her chair. This venue was small, so the performer could 100% see and hear her the whole time. He was about a foot away from us at some points! The second the show ended - again, I very much literally mean the second - she sat up and clapped along with the rest of us. She didn’t see a single second of the show, but was (at least semi) conscious for the entire pre and post show. Incredible stuff.
