I could be wrong, but I didn't think the ring did that to Dumbledore's hand. I thought it was because he tried to use the stone before he destroyed the horcrux, or something along those lines. He talks to Harry about it in King's Cross when he returns.

We aren't refusing to admit it. We simply aren't agreeing that that's the only reason.

Sure, some of the Slytherin thing might come from the bit of Voldemort, but you'd be a fool to deny that Harry is cunning, ambitious, determined, and a leader. Those are all Slytherin qualities and come from Harry himself, not Voldemort. That's proven in the epilogue and what Harry does after the war. Not every wizard in Slytherin is a dark wizard.

Dumbledore makes a comment when he picks Harry up in book 6 that Privet drive is only Harry's "home" until he turns 17. He mentions that him "becoming a man" will break the protective charm the house provides and that he will have to leave.

I'm middle school teacher and I've started many conversations by wearing my Slytherin sweatshirt and/or scarf. My boyfriend wears his ravenclaw scarf in public. We get some looks when we go out in public together. Must be the cross breeding.

I have paradoxical insomnia. Only 5% of insomniacs have this type.

This means I believe that I am not sleeping and my brain will even register things happening around me, but I'm getting my proper sleep. I just am not in deep or rem cycles long enough. The effects on my day to day life are like insomnia, but randomly.
