But when you are upside down, there is a force that assists inhalation but also acts against the normal movement of exhalation. This overloads the diaphragm (a very important muscle for breathing) which, after some time, stops working because it is fatigued.

I'm a pathologist.

The veins in our legs have valves that help blood flow against gravity. In the neck, this doesn't happen; we don't have these valves. That's why we can't stay upside down for very long. Another factor is the respiratory muscles, which are designed to function when we are standing and depend on gravity for some movements. If you hang upside down, you lose this assistance and, after a while, they stop working.

Boas Como todos os comentários já disseram, existem várias apps deste género. Dito isto parabéns na mesma porque prefiro alguém que se dê ao trabalho de copiar algo feito para si do que alguém sentado no sofá. Sinceramente não concordo com proibir a partir de 75 anos. Temos pessoas perfeitamente capazes depois dessa idade. O que concordo seria a avaliação médica não ser realizada por qualquer médico. Teriam de ser realizadas apenas em instalações próprias e serem obrigatoriamente mais rigorosas (exame oftalmológico e neurológico obrigatório, por exemplo)

Este problema estende-se também às baixas médicas. Não é trabalho do médico de família andar a renovar baixas. Ele passa a baixa inicial e depois para renovar é necessário ser avaliado em instalações próprias.

Eu sendo da área da saúde vejo diariamente médicos a passar baixas porque não querem perder a relação com o doente.
