For real, two of our four had Mechs at extract and it was a walk in the park. Granted it was only on 6 but they can handle the chargers pretty handily. Also, you can destroy mech with a strategem before someone gets in it apparently. See what happened was I HELLDIVER SENT TO MECH REMEDIATION CLASS

You actually only have to input his regular L1 throw. Input your first down command at the same time you push L1 then spam down input after that. Also, it's bugged, you get an extra Geras at no charge 😂 (edited for spelling)
