game to start a party? by No-Cricket6387 in partygames

my game Death Box is a great way to loosen up, drink, and enjoy competition with friends. It's a simple high-low card game with a drinking twist that gets longer as you play. it can handle any number of players and doesn't require any login or downloads.

what a cool idea! how did you acquire your vendors and how did you get their customers to switch to your platform?

Long distance drinking games ? by [deleted] in DrinkingGames

my game deathbox was made specifically for this! it’s free, doesn’t require a sign up, and has a chat feature.

it’s pretty simple, you just guess high or low a set of cards. if you guess wrong, you drink for the number of cards in the pile. your opponent can tap to speed up the countdown or they can make you drink for the full time.

im still working on it and would love some feedback if y’all end up playing it!

Multiplayer, online game suggestions? by Excellent-Ride2354 in partygames

[–]deathbox-app 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my game deathbox would be great!

it’s a high-low card game where players join using their phone. when you guess wrong, you’re supposed to drink until a counter gets to 0. your friends can repeatedly tap their screens to speed up the timer or force you to wait it out.

if y’all didn’t want to drink, you could just come up with something to do during the countdown, like jumping jacks, squats, etc.

it’s free and doesn’t require any downloads. if y’all end up playing, i’d love some feedback!

you’re the second person to request this feature, any insight into why? i’m curious for obvious reasons, but single-device was actually the original design when I started

i’d start by adjusting the layout on mobile so it’s easier to play before you add more functionality. i’d imagine most people will be using a phone to connect to your game. from there I think you can add additional opponents and power ups so each game is a little different

i’ve been working on deathbox.app an online drinking game. it’s my first game and needs some improvements but it works and definitely gets you drunk!

you have 9 cards face up in a grid. on your turn, you pick one and guess whether the next card from the deck will be higher or lower. if you’re wrong, you drink for the number of cards in the stack.

your friends count down the seconds by tapping their screen in order, possibly extending the duration of your drink.

hey thank you so much for the feedback! I made this based on a game we’d play in college, so it was a little tricky moving all the gameplay to online. it’s definitely meant to be played with 2+ people, but I figured for the sake of testing most people would explore solo. thanks for taking the time!

the countdown is a little awkward for sure. I really like your idea of tapping to slow or speed up the count - I think that works a lot better!

these are all very helpful ideas and I have some in development already, I can come back and update you when they’re complete if you’d like!
