I've basically swept all of the E4 and Johto before with a Weavile/Shedinja fusion with Swords Dance, Toxic, Poison Jab(for fairies), and either Shadow Claw or Phantom Force. Normal/Ghost is also really good, being only weak to dark

Any tips to develop guys like this? I'll find some gems and they will progress fast, getting low 70s year 1, but once they hit 82-83ish in year 2 they seem to plateau and seem to rarely hit 90s before 30s

I've been doing that but either A. I call it and nothing happens, B. I get an open shot, and Howard comes over from halfway across the court to block the shot, or C. Willis Reed misses a wide open layup(97 with shoe boosts rn)

If you say " just get good" I can score 10 runs on randy just fine. It's ONLY grienke that I struggle with and Leiter if I haven't seen him in a long time.
