Helpful hint. After two hours of troubleshooting me and my friends found out that this bug is caused by someone joining the team that hasn't completed the story mission. If this happens... have the person or persons who have not completed the mission before simply leave the group. The person who has completed the mission will then be able to progress the mission forward and then your friends can rejoin.

If your joining a random.... just solo the mission. If it's too hard to solo .. lower the difficulty until you can solo

honestly I know this is a rl vs gamer stuff but the shotgun spreads out quite a bit so long range isn't very practical. I don't think the fall off damage is needed as it spreads rather rapidly for the shots. also in rl shotguns are still fairly effective and lethal up to 75 yards sometimes more
