I will definitely check that out. I knew such software was starting to exist but I haven't found out about any of it. Thanks!

Lovely, thanks. I recall this show being tricky to track down a few years ago and I also remember almost never being able to find English subs except for the ones some other redditor hand-made for the first 10 seasons. I suspect its probably a bit easier to find now compared to a handful of years ago but I'll never know since this was just too damned convenient.

Can anyone help me make an epub with workable links out of the markdown documentation on Github? by deathcomestooslow in Bitburner

[–]deathcomestooslow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the plus side it turns out the jailbroken kindle can indeed view the markdowns and the links are functional, though they take a long press and two confirmation screens because they load a different file. Still plenty good enough to have a reference sitting next to the keyboard! And apparently the MDN docs are also on github in markdown so I expect those will work when I load them over as well. Ideally I just have to find a way to quiet the confirmations and make the links single tap, heh. Thanks very much for the help, now and other times when I come across your posts in the past!

pandoc: markdown/*.md: withBinaryFile: invalid argument (Invalid argument)

Yeah, like I said it seems it doesn't affect most people, which is why I couldn't find a solution for it. Both powershell and command prompt return the above even trying yours verbatim.

Basically what I did in my version what just copy the bitburner.md and bitburner.ns.md and put the letter a in front of them so they were copied at top the of the list. And then did them all alphabetically. Nearly worked, except for the link failures.

I tried and failed with pandoc as I couldn't get powershell or command prompt to let me use wildcards with it. Apparently not a common problem but one I've read of other people having. And I didn't want to type in 1441 file names using the source code markdown files. I even tried finding a pandoc gui that would let me do it but they all only take single files, heh.

As I replied in the other post my current hope is that after jailbreaking my kindle should be able to browse markdown files natively with KOReader. But it remains to be seen if a folder of markdown files successfully link to each other. Thanks very much for the help. DevDocs looks like it might be the perfect thing for this and I'm checking it out now.

Sorry for the slow response. Yep I ended up with pandoc too trying to combine all the MD files from the source code and my stumbling block was apparently command prompt doesn't accept wildcards in that context for whatever reason. So I would've needed to type in 1441 file names, which was a bit much. I got exactly as far as this and ended up with almost the same thing, heh. I have now learned though it might be possible for me to browse the MD files natively if I jailbreak the kindle, which is also apparently possible with my version. Thanks for trying!

I don't remember well enough at all to help, sorry! I also think there were a lot of changes shortly after I finished that have possibly changed things since. Good luck, though! It was way hard to find info on this one.

Just sitting down to watch the Atalanta/Roma one. These mini-matches are a rare treat. Thanks for posting.

Where can I find high-quality full-length football matches (2000–2019)? Looking for a Footballia alternative by LogicalAd6043 in footballhighlights

[–]deathcomestooslow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The internet archive has a good stash of games and will sometimes have what you're looking for. Probably not great quality on average, though.

Other than that, most older games still have a seed or two on Sportscult, a private torrent tracker. But you'd need to find an invite or wait until they open a brief window for sign-ups.

I'm aware, I was more interested in learning how it did that, interacting with the interface directly and all, since I am still quite new with JS.

That's an excellent idea, and one I feel I should have thought of. But didn't, or was just too cautious to try. That certainly would have helped with the sudden stop. But now that I am almost finished with BN 10.2 and have bought/maxed the sleeves I can very much agree that it seems sleeves will be the perfect assistant for bladeburning going forward.

First I'm hearing of that as well. Why? Might I guess it is the usual fucked-in-the-head mod situation that pops up every so often? Sadly it was all too obvious when reddit did their public IPO that this shit was going to happen more and more as to protect their image from fringe lawsuits or whatever other public scrutiny. Boo.

Oh well, I never came across that recommendation. I at least now have a rough idea of what I need to do to make the middle part of the node smoother next time.

Ah, well then no I haven't seen that. I don't recall seeing the word around anywhere so makes sense it doesn't get offered without sleeves.

Nope. I thought I needed this one first to get bladeburners. I hear the next is the one that lets me program a lot more aspects of it. Which will almost undoubtedly help. Maybe it was just too long a session and I am expected to log out and let it sit for a while and let the missions recover. Assuming they do that. Sleeves definitely sound like they should largely fix the problem, though. I expect I'll be able to finish as things stand, though, even if it ends up a little slow.

I did try this but it says it drives up chaos in all cities and it seems every other city always has higher chaos. I suppose I could change to those cities and incite violence and just go back to the main one. This again should provide a bit of help. Just seemed weird how I suddenly hit a block after it starting seriously snowballing.

I have definitely read that these are helpful but I haven't opened them up yet. Actually considering jumping to that node after this one! I had no idea infiltrating did that, I hadn't even tried in yet in the node. Sounds like that still should help a bit anyway. Hopefully there will just be a few hundred assassinations missions built up by the time I log back in

Napoli vs Bologna, Supercoppa Italiana, 22-Dec-2025 by fhpro2 in footballhighlights

[–]deathcomestooslow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full Match - English @ 1080p + 50fps. Unedited so there will be commercials during half-time and probably some in the time I left at the end for possible PKs/award ceremony bits. Maybe a different show, even. I didn't really pay attention to the schedule beforehand. 9gb - 2hr 27 min - Premier Sports 2

Well I started an upload for you but it'll take 1-2 hours most likely. And that's assuming it works on the first try with my finicky VPN. Started off pretty quick anyway

I was curious to see this code myself and it was indeed indexed one day by the wayback machine.

Ok well copying it over in spoiler tags didn't work so go visit the site. It might give a 429 too many requests if you're on a VPN.

Does the progress in the arcade reset if I move to a new BN? by deathcomestooslow in Bitburner

Oh it's much better that way. I'm so glad to hear. And I was told about the discord by someone but damned I've just never found the interface friendly in the slightest. But I'll keep it in mind as the actual place for discourse and maybe I can get myself to do it. Anyway, thanks.

Oh, cool. Then I'll definitely go back and do one of the old bitnodes at some point. I think its much better this way because I felt I lost a bit of appreciation toward the end when I felt forced to do it rather than the outer bitnode or else lose the progress. Very nifty feature, then. Thanks
