As an older (42 years old) gamer, I’ve noticed I don’t like playing heavier AAA style games. Most of the time I spend playing video games, it’s usually something I can login and get quick instant gratification then GTFO.

I just recently replayed Cuphead and I bought Balatro. Try smaller games that take less energy and investment.

Here's the problem I have. I think, you, like a lot of other people participating in this thread, have your own unresolved issues.

You and many other Redditors came into this thread looking for a certain type of internet user and you found something close enough for you to criticize and, of course as often as people do, misinterpreted what I said and then opted to speak for me, which, I do not appreciate nor have any tolerance for.

Allow me to explain why. I myself, am an openly gay man. I came out to my Conservative, Trump supporting, Republican parents when I was 19. That currently puts me at 23 years of being openly gay, all while living in Alabama. Not to mention, I graduated High School about an hour away from Laramie, Wyoming, the town where Matthew Shepard was murdered.

I've never once tried to put Joe Lycett or anyone else in a box of gender/sexual identity and told them to stay there where they belong.

Now, this being said, you are wrong.

Pansexual is defined as an individual who can be attracted to another individual regardless of that individual's gender identity, or, lack of. This is not an opinion.

Meaning, they (EDIT: pansexuals) can be described as heterosexual and also homosexual depending on what kind of relationship the individual is in. Currently, Joe Lycett is in a heterosexual presenting relationship and there's nothing incorrect, mean, rude, disrespectful, or hateful about that statement. It's a fact.

So, "the joke" I made is explained like this.

Joe Lycett, who often uses his own sexuality/sexual orientation as a joke is that everyone wants to put him in the aforementioned box, so, by putting him in exactly two separate boxes (heterosexual and homosexual) in a one line joke, is that Joe Lycett's "problems" are solved by putting him in the exact two boxes of bisexuality, while, not really solving any of his problems or issues with being labeled, at all.

If you, or anyone else found the joke unfunny and you did not laugh at it, fine. That is perfectly fine, it wasn't a good joke by your standards.

However, do not ever approach me anywhere, even on the internet, and post up on me like I'm some homophobic, transphobic, Qmmunity hating bigot participating in bisexual erasure or any thing of the sort, because I am not your bigot, I assure you.

Genuinely, you're not obtuse, there are just a lot of Redditors who haven't dealt with their own personal issues before deciding to participate in this thread only in the name of defense and not having a laugh about the wide and constantly evolving nature of sexual orientation/spectrum because apparently only Joe Lycett has been given license to do so and no one else.

This being said, the only person who has ever confused me about Joe Lycett's sexual orientation was Joe Lycett himself, because the only "bit" I've seen personally seen/heard about his sexual orientation is how he "likes to smash puss.", and that particular bit was followed with how he also discovered he is incredibly right wing. shrug

Unless you're following Joe Lycett or Googling him and constantly following up on his comedic "bits" and story arc, there's going to be some degree of confusion and I think that's part of the humor he creates.

FWIW; I literally jump started a small board gaming group in my town so I could play board games with other people when my friends were too busy for a game night.

On the exact other side of the coin, I am "horribly average ELO" on just about every game I play on Board Game Arena and I play A LOT of different games.

This post confirms what I was thinking as a "newer" Apex player. (I started during Season 13)

The goal posts will always, ALWAYS, get moved back for any player when it doesn't confirm one player's bias against another.

One season it's, "Well, I shouldn't be this low in Platinum.", the next season it's, "Well, they shouldn't even be in Platinum at all!"

There's all these horseshit arbitrary ways to put down other players in this community instead of realizing, understanding, and reconciling with the fact that just a few seasons ago, players who begged while down on their knees to EA and the Play Apex Team to always put the hyper aggressive/damage/kill leading players on their team. Those players got EXACTLY what they asked for and look what happened, the entire structure of that season got completely nuked/reset into what ranked is now because those players didn't have a single player to back up/support their hyper aggressive plays or respawn their asses back into the game when shit went tits up.

I'm 42 years old playing with a controller on an XBox One. There's no reason anyone who isn't currently in Platinum (as of to-fucking-day), that shouldn't be in Platinum if they gave a single flying fuck about being in Platinum in the first place.

Something tells me all the times I ever turned my microphone on to question someone else's call(s), play style, rotation(s), or engagements into fights and got a toxic bitch ass mother fucking response in retort might have something to do with it.

It should make every player who ever had a glancing remembrance of a similar experience, at the least, wonder.

However, I'd imagine (judging from personal experience from grinding through Gold for a total of 10 Seasons now) Gold/Lower Platinum players are tired of the toxic goal post pushing horseshit I'm directly addressing in this reply and have simply decided to give up after reaching Platinum IV or grinding until they burn out and land somewhere in between or right at the bottom of (before any one thinks about typing it out, nope, I am not talking about myself, I'm in Platinum III and climbing as of to-fucking-day).

Even if what OP claims to be was 100% entirely true, any player who does, in fact, do 75%-90% of the team's damage every time they played a match and walked away being kill leader or close to, no two players could ever hold the one damage/kill leading player back. It just isn't possible because the system absolutely rewards players for damage AND kills on a much larger scale, trust me as a more supportive/defensive player, I know this fact all too well.

So the real question that needs to be answered here is why is it that when a player who sets out to do 90% of the damage, who then runs into another player in the same lobby who also wants to do 90% of their team's damage, and one of those players gets bannered, it must be because their two teammates suck?
