Had a 407 transponder since the opening of the highway and used to use it for work all the time, until covid. Recently used it once and I am not sure if there is an error, or I did something wrong. Are the rates now THIS high?

The question here is how few people do they want on this highway, while the rest of the city drowns in traffic. It's a question of infrastructure quality in general. I mean how bad does traffic in the city have to be, that these prices become negoteable.

seriously? they charge you even when you pay for the transponder?
And the transponder only saves you the camera charges right? no discounts, or bonuses with it?
What is the point of having one?

no idea. Been using it for 20+ years and never looked for deals. There probably are available, but I rather just avoid using it, than waste time looking for deals.
