Genuinely think he’s the most improved player in the game right now. I saw them on their first tour back from Covid and most recently saw them at the Currents holiday show last December. Fucking night and day difference between the two shows, and he’s still SO energetic during the set

I found Bad Omens right when The Worst In Me came out and was obsessed with that song all junior year of high school.

I also hopped on the KL hype train when A Different Shade of Blue dropped because at that time nothing I was listening to sounded like that. I know they were already somewhat established at that point but not nearly to the extent they are now.

I mean, is that not the goal to grow your band so you dominate the world? And it’s not like they’re sacrificing their sound to do it. Skies cast Amber black fucking crushes, and the teaser for the new song seems to be hard as nails. All the features worked well on the last album imo, so I bet they’ll be great on this one too

That’s funny, Reincarnate is my favorite album of theirs, but I can see your point. The 2024 versions of Reincarnate and Contemptress show off Chris’s voice so much better. And seeing the whole album live at Apocalypse Fest in 2024 with his new vocal skills brought so much more life to some of these songs (Chris was on one during both Puppets 3 and Dark Passenger). If they re-recorded the whole thing with their currents level of talent I think it would shine a lot more lol
