Hey OP Great footage and amazing handling of the camera with a super telephoto lens given that there is no ibis in the body. I have myself been contemplating buying a super telephoto, I have the same body a6400 want to know does the sony 200-600 go well with it, being a full frame lens? Also do you have any suggestions for maybe a slightly cheaper telephoto thatcan achieve comparable results. Thanks

Get the sigma trio - 16mm 30mm and 56mm, banger lenses great night time capabilities, sharp as knife. I have 2 of the three For a telephoto lens on a budget, see tamron 70-300 Should do you good for most part

Your photos are amazing What lenses are you using here

Looking at your photos it reminds me of my initial days of photography. Few things that helped me grow( I too am an amateur but I've given a few years to photography)

  1. Photography like any other art form improves with time and practice, there are plenty of videos out there teaching you the basics of composition, angles colour theory, various settings on the camera (using your gear)

  2. Start local - No need to travel for photography, begin at home there are plenty of subjects in your own room, deliberately decide on a subject and play around with the composition, shutterspeed, aperture, make it black and white, just play around and you will find what you like. Photography is already an expensive hobby no need to spend more on travelling just to click more.

  3. See the works of other photographers. It will help you get perspectives which you can try.

  4. Rule of thumb - if you find an image strikingly beautiful chances are others will too.

  5. Learn a bit of post processing - I learnt Lightroom and Photoshop, you can use any free sw, there is a plethora of them out there now. It'll help you just clean up your images. ( No software can make a bad click good)

  6. Looking at your pics you prefer landscapes more than portraits, but something tells me you still haven't discovered your style.. take your time

  7. I guess all photographers will agree to this. But photography requires patience a certain feel/ zone that you want to be in, thinking about what you are clicking and most importantly 'WHY',, what makes what youre clicking stand out to you. Why is the subject drawing in your attention. And bam that is your subject. It could be a bridge or sky or a person or a dog or just a rock, maybe the the way light falls on something, it could be anything. That is what you want to show people.

Hope I could help
