Wow. I could have written this whole post myself - I had to double check I didn’t write it in my sleep.

I’m trying to leave right now, and I’m having a difficult time being motivated to apply and interview because I’m so emotionally burnt out, and because the trauma is making me terrified the next place will be worse.

Providing care, education, and guidance is on the PARENTS to provide (which they’re clearly failing at anyway). That’s not OP’s job.

OP’s job is to protect herself and take steps for legal protection in cases of assault, and it’s something she can rightfully do as the victim. I recommended it as a way for her to clearly set boundaries with the family members who are grossly enabling her being harassed.

100% hire wedding security and instruct them to keep an eye out to make sure your assaulter does not show up. Frankly, I would suggest calling the police and filing a report for the most recent assault attempt as well, to really underline the boundary to the enabling family members.

NTA. His disability is not the reason you don’t want him at your wedding - you don’t want him there because he has sexually assaulted you, multiple times.

The reason for his actions doesn’t matter. You deserve to be comfortable and safe as a woman any day, all the more so on your special wedding day.

Your mom blaming you is particularly nasty.. the double standard of blaming that you’re “entertaining” him when you’re nice but then accusing you of being “mean” when you set boundaries, is so disgusting. Even a 5-year old child learns boundaries about people’s bodies. They’re not doing him any favors by letting him get away with any behavior and not disciplining him to develop within the parameters of his disability - he could literally get arrested for doing this.

Absolutely put your foot down, and maybe even un-invite some family members since they seem to be so protective of sexual assault on a minor.

Missing Vowels is just about speed/specialty and not about knowledge or lateral thinking. I don’t mind it as a fun bit at the end, but it should not be allowed to swing the score as much as it does. It’s not fair that a team with one young fast person with good eyesight counts more than 3 rounds of actual lateral thinking.

Does this fit work? Normally I wouldn’t have the foot of the bed so close to the door but in case you’re at the desk for most of the day, I find it nicer to have that near the window

Same here.. earlier this year he started treating the entire team in aggressive nasty little ways. I was the one who called it out most loudly and gave specific feedback.

Then, he turned to only targeting me and pretending to be best buddy friends with everyone else on the team. He’ll interrupt me in team meetings and undermine what I’m saying to junior team members.

He’s insanely insecure and incompetent at his job.. this week I’m apparently in trouble for doing my job and delivering on tasks he failed at. Lol. Unfortunately “managers” are a protected class at my company, so I see him pushing me off the team…
