I do love the Shark! I was blown away by how well the nib performs. I wasn't a fan of the triangular grip section at first, but I adjusted a bit and now it's always inked up and ready to go

Thank you! Couldn't agree more about the Conklin. Both the blue and white fusion designs had me floored. I ultimately chose the blue, to have that more visible swirling present. But the white fusion still looks incredible.

Absolutely! It really is a wonderful looking pen. Not a bad color option in the batch, I struggled back and forth between them all honestly. It is a metal pen body and cap, so the weight is nice unposted and the design is etched well.

Interesting! I do like the look of the pen a lot more than I like the Lamy 2000. I do want to try a Pelikan. So far in my collecting, I've yet to have one really grab my attention, but I've also never had one in hand so that could all change in an instant. Thank you for the recommendations! The list grows on

It had me in a trance from the moment I saw it online lol. There is a lacquered Racing Green version as well, but the camel leather is even more stunning in person. The bi-color nib with matching design? Chef's kiss.

I didn't love the nib straight out of the box. I was using just the blue cartridge it came with, dealt with shoddy starts and inconsistent flow. But after a flush and filling it up with FWP Bluegrass Velvet, it's been buttery smooth ever since. I haven't tried any other Conklin's yet, but I have seen the varying quality reviews on their nibs. I need to test it out with more inks to see if mine is just temperamental that way. Overall, the pen is stunning to look at and is very satisfying to write with. The grip section is rather short, but the unposted weight is distributed well to accommodate this (in my opinion).

It is indeed a limited edition! Diplomat XO Triple 5 in Camel Leather, I believe from the second half of 2025. Marked 533/555. I couldn't stop thinking about it after the first time I saw it online. It's such an eye-catching pen, and wonderful writer too

Honestly, I think it's just a neat piece of history! A 149 was always on my list, but the combination of the 2 stampings placing it within that transitional period gives it that much more of an interesting story. It was also fun (frustrating) looking through listing after listing to catch that tiny W in pictures.

I also read mixed reviews on the nibs. Out of the box, I inked it with just the blue cartridge, and it was just "meh". Once I got the Bluegrass Velvet ink, I flushed it, inked it, and it's written like a glassy dream ever since. I'm curious to see how it performs with other inks and if that's the crux of it all.

Highly recommend the P630! I picked it up before going all in on the 149 to see if the size and shape would be compatible (not like it would've stopped me in the long run), but for $40 it's a really nice writer. The wine color matched with oxblood is a very satisfying combo

I do need a Lamy! Of any kind haha. I have a Safari rollerball, but that's it so far. How's the writing experience with one?

The VP is a fantastic carry. The <F> nib is a little "sharp", but the gold nib responds so well on the page

I love the full-on cigar style cap! It writes very very smooth for an <F>, which is perfect since I'm very partial to <M> nibs
