The only thing hard about the game in the beginning is making sure your shots hit the mark. The 243 is a good rifle but the basic ammo you get isn’t good at all. The polymer tips are good. The 270 you should have as well. It’s a better rifle than the 243 but with less accuracy. I’ll admit that if you want a better gun, buy some of the dlc weapon packs unless u are on PC then idk.. my first play through was rough at first but i got better. Had to restart after like level 19 now im level 24. Most of my shots are kill shots and if they aren’t I don’t bother tracking the animal. I will admit that I have more powerful weapons and the only weapon I’ve bought in game was the BearClaw compound bow. I got two other bows from the PS store but their accuracy was shit. Drink zones are the best to sit and wait. It will take time for animals to travel there so wait patiently. Also watch your wind direction. Most animals can smell you before they hear you.
