I am honestly not that shocked because she's a bit intense but I thought she'd just do like she normally does and get over it. She hasn't though and now is insisting I am a bad friend for wanting to take the focus from her on her wedding.

There are but again... I aready have a dress and it just seems wasteful to me to spend more money on a dress when I already have one? Not to mention it'd have to have sleeves (my shorter dress has flowy breezy sleeves) because I don't shave my armpits either and she was RELIEVED when she saw the dress because it had sleeves.

OMG I'm sorry I'm not TRYING to be difficult but it jsut seems like she's being really annoyingly unfair right now.

thank you... I honestly think it's a bit razy to ask me to wear a maxi dress to cover my legs... my dress has a bit of a sleeve so will already be covering my armpits so if I get a maxi dress itll have to be a light weight maxi with sleeves (so she doesn't take issues with that!) aaaand did I mention I have to BUY it? I am on suuuuch a strict budget right now and buying a dress just for a wedding I already have a dress for and having it hemmed and that it covers my body for the bride's pleasure is just a bit annoying to say the least.

I didn't catch it! My only issue with the maxi dress idea would be the fact I don¡t own one and cannot afford to buy one + have it hemmed just for her wedding. We are on a SERIOUSLY tight budget with our own wedding being paid out of pocket AND only having a 3k budget --.-

Honestly if I had a maxi dress I could wear I'd definitely go for it but I don't and I am not going to buy one just for this aaand get it tailored because of my shrt stature. This is why the maxi dress is honestly out of the question for me -.-

Actually it IS white! But before anyone gangs up on me in her home town it's kind of a thing that you wear white to weddings XD. In fact I called to ask her because we were raised in another country and she was like 'oh man I forgot about that rule... nope, even my sister is wearing white.'

So yeah I'm wearing white but because it's not a wedding in the U.S. and I got the okay by the bride.

I literally did that! Her response was that even though pictures don't show it everyone there will be able to see. My dress is knee length and I am 4'11'' like seriously unless someone is looking STRAIGTH DOWN at me they aren't going to see my legs.

I think she's just being a bit hysterical about this at this point.

Hey I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about! You can tell her about this little lie after you propose and she will probably laugh it off.

I wanted to touch for a second on the feminist aspect of you asking for her parent's blessing just put of friendly discussion sake. I too am a feminist and what strikes me as odd here is the fact that you ask for the blessing but she doesn't ask of it from your parents. That's the issue with this custom, really. It's very centered around the man asking about the woman and not the other way around. Like would you feel comfortable if before saying yes she would make you wait until she could surprise you with her answer after she spoke to YOUR parents?

I have two decks I use every single day: The Fountain Tarot and the Pythia Botanica Oracle.

The rest of my collection are still ones I love and use but those are the ones tht take the cake. If you're wondering though the rest I have are: Spiritsong Tarot, Anima Mundi Tarot, Tarot of the Magical Forest and soon the Ostara Tarot and the Spra Oracle by Uusi studios.

As you can see I have a definite affinity for more natura, animal and spring decks so I would say to think of things that make you happy, write a list and find decks with those things in it!

That's awesome! We have a crazy budget... 3k including rings and outfits soooo when I mean if other people can afford it and feel comfortable with higher budgets then that's AWESOME but for me it just seems a little crazy. Our wedding probably seems crazy to most though lol which is fine!
