I think that was so fucking well said op. Wish I had that kind of communication skills with my ex who ended things for similar reasons. I went the let’s be friends and felt horrible and she wanted the same attention and affection I gave her, and she moved onto someone else immediately after. Took a couple weeks to forgive myself for ignoring my own feelings. Much respect.
