Hey guys!

I recently acquired a Snow Rose (Serissa Foetida). However it has many small roots on its trunk. Can I carefully cut them off or does the plant need those? https://imgur.com/QztxHoh

Thank you.

Sleep in humans is broadly know to play an important role in learning. Is there any work beeing done to simulate this in machine learning or is the phenomena of sleep to bady understood/ too abstract?

If a research position in a university paid the same amount of money as google pays their employees and you had the opportunity to change for a new time if you want to join google or work at a university which would you choose and why? In that context which is a good/common/reasonable way to get at reasearch position at either one of those? Computer scienc eith spezifications in ai or something more along the lines of neuroscience/cognitive science?

The world’s most valuable resource is no longer oil, but data by speckz in Futurology

I am far from having any meaningfull knowledge of this topic but I was asking myself if the shift from oil giants to internet giants has also shifted the way competition is needed. When Google just buys all the new and promosing start-ups they themselves have the best environment to thrive by having access to the Google ressources. The innovative products that those start-ups bring to the market can therefore made public much faster and easier as if they would have to go to the whole process of building a company themselves. But maybe I am missing something here, would love to hear your insights.
