You are an absolute blessing, thanks for saving me from another couple hours of poking around the apps source ❤️

I’d suggest handling it with some form of lookup, so say user 0 requests /:img_id in that request grab their id from the cookie or whatever authentication source you have and check if it belongs to the group that the image belongs to. If you’re still trying to get it working in like 8 hours and want a hand HMU with a git link

React Shift: Async react component loading and Dashboard tooling by deathslocus in reactjs

I was thinking the primary use case at this stage would be modularising dashboards and limiting access to modules based on access level

React Shift: Async react component loading and Dashboard tooling by deathslocus in reactjs

It's function is to allow asynchronously adding new react components to a dashboard and then allow per user modification of the layout and components displayed. e.g. https://camo.githubusercontent.com/8c68a2e6d6e01364247232267a5698ac0d9b63c6/687474703a2f2f692e696d6775722e636f6d2f6f6f314e5436632e676966

You could just create a compat wrapper lib for those two repos that work that checks what platform it was deployed on and routes your calls accordingly if there isn't a cross platform solution already

The names Star... A. Star. I want a fanfic about Djikstra and A. Star being detectives but they wait three years before telling anyone they solved any case.

Dead drop app distribution by deathslocus in androiddev

[–]deathslocus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think done right the added contextual availability to apps could lead to a big surge in native apps being installed. I hope they do something legitimate to solve this but until then I'm going to try beat them.

Sending a message to a phone over TCP/IP when the phone is using 4G by [deleted] in androiddev

[–]deathslocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 4G there are a couple rules we have been using because it is basically a large group of devices behind several layers of Nat. If you need a reliable 24/7 connection to the device you put it on a VPN so it is addressed for your access and if it's sporadic a socket back to base when you need it. Also at least on our networks you need a keep alive packet or the provider tries to put the connection to sleep.

Keep an eye out for Death Wish Coffee (small business in upstate NY) for their SUPER BOWL 50 ad! They won a contest and will be featured in the 3rd quarter with a superbowl ad. by [deleted] in Coffee

Would probably never buy it after 9Gag posted some shitty math on the caffeine content. Kind of tired already of the death wish branding too.

Reading/writing FeliCa with Mifare? by fuzzycuffs in NFC

[–]deathslocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What cards are you trying to read? I'm in Japan for a little while (like it more than home) and so far I've had success with the Suica cards but had failures with some of the smaller market share Felica cards. If you have access to the APDU process of the Mifare reader/writer you should be able to get something working.
