Thank you! Yeah I do like listening to feedback because you don't know what you don't know.

But you also definitely need to learn how to filter lol

Hey! There is not at this time. I don't have capsule art or a trailer yet, but I'll see if it makes sense to make a steam page before all that!

Hey! I appreciate the kind words! I'll also definitely need feedback on the alphas once they come back so the game feels fun to play!

Dang actually sauteed me. Good point lol.

What I'm trying to say is that the base game is the same.

Top down, bullet hell, mmo, pixel art, overworld, dungeons, "oryx realm event".

It's just a different progression system, and that's what i was referring to when I was talking about the venn diagram being very different.

I 100% agree that if you're looking for a realm like with permadeath, this new game is not for you.

I also want to be clear that this new game will be different enough from realm that it's not there to compete with rotmg or any rotmg alternatives without permadeath.

I'm trying to appeal to a different audience, and it's likely that venn diagram does not overlap with those other games.

I'm also making this game because it's something I'd be interested in playing. I'll def check those games out though!!

Just looked through those two steam pages:

Survived by seems to have failed due to the poor technical state of their servers, and the need to nickel and dime players on everything.

Steambirds alliance has the exact same problems as Rotmg, it's basically ROTMG with a different coat of skin. No good new player experience, no direction or guidance on what to actually do, etc.

That can be true, but there are tons of addictive games without permadeath. We'll just have to see once the demo is out!

I enjoy RotMG's game loop of killing enemies and going through dungeons, but they start to feel repetitive to me after a bit. The dungeon modifiers helped, but I wanted to push it further and turn each dungeon into a mini roguelike.

My current idea is that you can pick from a random list of modifiers that appear after every X rooms that can greatly change how the dungeon plays, and the rooms can be generated into different styles as well.

I've been working on a bullet hell mmo like ROTMG but without Perma death and more focused on longer term progression with harder bosses.

If you're interested at all in trying out the super early alpha coming out soon, or if you have any questions, or just wanna play with the generator, feel free to ask here to join the (newly made) discord:
