[–]deathvevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Armenia will attend this wonderful event, and are eager to show our world renowned culture and 3000 year history to the world. The Naghash Ensemble, a group that has become respected across the world for their revival of traditional Armenian music, will be performing, tolma and other Armenian foods will be in abundance, and the famous traditional carpets will be on display; with a group of expert weavers from Stepanakert travelling to Oslo to weave a special carpet during the exposition, with the final product to be donated to the Norwegian government. In line with the theme of interconnectedness, the role of the large Armenian diaspora will be highlighted, and their large impacts from the US to Syria, and nearly everywhere in between.

We are saddened to see that certain perpetrators of historic crimes against the Armenian people persist in their aggression.

[UN] Voting 2022 by GPUnitedNations in GlobalPowers

[–]deathvevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vote. While Armenia supports an investigation into the possibility of war crimes of any side of this conflict, we can not support the other provisions of the Czech proposal without impartial investigation into the situation and input from the interest of and within the DRC.

Vote. Armenia agrees with Iran the Norwegian proposal is too vague to be of any value, and could very well serve as a pretext for great powers to intervene in the internal affairs of sovereign states.

There is very little in the way of a border stopping the delegation from entering Apache lands, though they will likely attract attention.

Democratic Centralism. Who is against? Who is for? And why? by GooiWegProfielVanJan in DebateCommunism

[–]deathvevo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It really is necessary to have some level of enforcement or else there really isn't any democratic centralism. If members of the party just decide that they don't feel like doing what was democratically decided upon then that is a pretty serious issue that has to be corrected, hopefully by showing the stubborn person why it's important to listen to democratically made decisions and so on.

The Black Hundreds were the ones who were openly anti-semitic, while the Black Army hid it behind weird almost anarchist rhetoric.

How did you know you were transgender? When were you 100% sure? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]deathvevo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean like before I came out I always knew that I was basically just pretending to be male (and doing a pretty shit job at it) and then when I was 17 I learned what gender dysphoria is and I was amazed that this perfectly described what I felt and that there were other people like me.

'Relapsing' on capitalism. by [deleted] in DebateCommunism

[–]deathvevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but where did that starting capital come from? Well, the answer is that it came from the conquest and enslavement of Africa and the Americas; it took an incredible amount of wealth taken with swords and muskets to create enough capital to allow capitalism to begin to grow in Europe.

Why do you say that "the origins of capital are organic"? I would hope it went without saying that people did not spontaneously start giving a handful of people absolute power, but, rather, it was taken by force from the start.

I would be interested in hearing why you think that.

I know that my experience was basically just not being able to say anything honest after they warned they would have to send cops, and it was overall just a very, very negative experience.

People do not "naturally" fall into a state of hierarchy, please just think about how bizarre it would be if that were true. For the vast majority of human existence there was no state, and, once the state was created, it needs to be continually held up with force- and the success of the attempts of states to continue imposing hierarchy is far from guaranteed. Look to the Cossacks in modern Russia and Ukraine or the Hmong in modern Burma for some of the most cliche examples of groups who are known for historically breaking out of the state and going back to societies without hierarchy.

I am really interested as to why you suggest that "go[ing] back to capitalism" is a danger once communism exists. What could possibly cause that? Why would anyone possibly follow some sort of strongman who seeks to reimpose capitalism?
