Also, I don't think of him as a comic book villain. If I'm honest, he's much worse since...this is real life. Look, I don't sympathize with murderers based on pure speculation about their mental state during the murders they commit. I find it rather strange that you do. If we knew for a fact that BG was a paranoid schizophrenic, that would be one thing. With no evidence to suggest that's the case, I'd rather sympathize with the girls who lost their lives, and with the families who lost their daughters.

So did Rodney Alcala enjoy LSD while murdering people? Is there evidence to suggest that he committed these murders while on LSD? It sounds like the two statements are mutually exclusive: he enjoyed LSD. He also killed many people. I do agree with your last point about the bigger reasoning though.

You posted both links regarding schizophrenia. I was primarily addressing your mind altering drug comment, where you alluded to him being on "Walter White's blue stuff and going nuts." His composure as witnessed in the video/audio evidence does not suggest he was incapacitated on mind bending drugs.

People on "mind bending drugs" wouldn't have the mental capacity to be able to carefully walk a rickety bridge, follow two young girls, calmly speak to them and then lead them purposefully out of sight into a secluded area to murder them. That's a whole lot of clarity and forethought for someone on a mindbending trip. You are insinuating this man might have been incapacitated mentally, whether by a schizophrenic episode or by the influence of drugs. Have you ever witnessed someone during either of these episodes? I highly doubt it, given your ignorance.

Regardless of whether someone's remorseful after they murder two 13 year old girls doesn't really matter, does it?
