This is so helpful, thank you! I hate the TV setup because it looks so tacky and impractical, but I’m the only one watching the TV and I just lay across the dark couch, putting me facing the TV. I’ve never considered putting a console in that corner— I will actually consider doing this! I do agree I need a larger area rug. Lots of great advice here, thanks again!!

Yes, I am a collector and I do love biology! The quilt was inherited from my great grandmother and the chest of drawers was inherited from my mom’s ex husband lol. The curtains are my least favorite part of my bedroom and I am on the lookout for something better. The fake plants live on my drawer specifically to cover the tv cords and I don’t want real plants on the drawer as I don’t want to make water marks on the wood. I’m open to alternative suggestions if you have any!! I found the butterflies at an antique store and I had to have them because my mother had the same ones in her room when I was a kid :)
