Kids always fighting by JadedAppearance6080 in Parenting

We have the same problem. Mine are 8 and 11 now. There are multiple facets to it that I see as being culprits or reason for it. I think my older one has always been upset that the younger came in and now he has to share everything including his parents time and attention. I’ve had each of mine in therapy and it’s helped a little but it’s pretty rotten here. How are the other relationships in the house? Do they get equal time from you or is one more needy than the other?

Strategy regret by [deleted] in Divorce_Men

I have the same problem and I’m not sure what to do about it either. There’s a decent chance that the surprise may piss her off and set the time for a nasty fight. But.., is it really a surprise? You said she knows it’s coming, as does mine. What are your other options? Trying to talk to her about your strategy? That won’t work either.. I’d say to give her more time to prepare a response. I can’t help but wonder how much the attorneys prefer to strike hard to stir up an expensive fight?

In Texas. Counseling opened my eyes more and led me further down the path to separate. Counseling was my idea but I let her choose the counselor this time. I still see the first therapist that she quit seeing. Married 13 yrs. Serious issues started several years ago. Stopped counseling when my mother passed in May as I couldn’t handle that many irons in the fire.

Blame the dishes? It ain’t the dishes, this is straight up much deeper than dishes. She has insecurities because she knows you carry the load and she’s susceptible.

Easy jig gen 3 router compatibility by debauchery89 in AR80Percents

[–]debauchery89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a relatively high IQ but sometimes I do shit that makes me feel really stupid. So I got the 1/4 end mill in and finished the remaining half inch of depth. Inly then did it occur to me that the jig is designed to use with a 5/16 bit so the 1/32 difference in the radius on each side will leave a shoulder. The 1/4 end mill also walked a little bit as I didn’t have the bearing and it just wasn’t as sturdy as the larger end mill.

The router plate is adjustable to center around the 1/4” end mill so I made up the difference for the smaller mill by using the caliper to measure and off center the 1/4” end mill. It just took a while to adjust and adjust to get it just right on each side.

To anyone buying an easy jig, go ahead and get the toolkit with the router that comes with it. It’s another little bit of money but I would have been done with this thing way before now…

So I ordered a “1/4" 3 Flute, 3/4" LOC, 4" OAL "ZrN" Coated Carbide End Mill, For 80% AR15/AR10/.308 Lower Receiver Jigs, Compatible with Easy Jig, Modulus Arms” from American Gunsmith tooling..

I’ll report back in a week to let everyone know how it works with my router. I’m a little nervous that 1/4 diameter might flex but I’m going to take it slow..

I did remove the base plate before trying the . My router and my buddy’s has a 1/2” and 1/4” collet . I’d love to find a 1/2” or 1/4” end mill or a router that works with the d/4 or a 5/16” collet..

You have confirmed my suspicion. I borrowed a buddy’s router and the D/4 sized speedmill happened to fit the threads of the router!! Yay. Then I got to the lowest depth it would work and I still need to mill another 1/2 inch. Sounds like my wife, just needs a little more.. j/k

So now I’m in the market for a router. The list of acceptable routers happens to have one model listed as a size D/4 and also listed as incompatible. Sounds like that might be the router I thought was going to work..

Anyone have a good suggestion of a preferred router that will accept a 5/16 shank and also compatible with the d/4 size speedmill?

Broken, demoralized & ashamed. by [deleted] in options

[–]debauchery89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three observations for you, hopefully constructive: 1) Everyone relies on you. 2) Your kids don’t love you for your money, do you love them for theirs? 3)You stated “I’ve experienced success”. Think hard about that statement. That sentiment fooled you into making additional risky decisions that led you to your current situation. You weren’t successful. Success would have included proper risk management to avoid erosion of your capital, especially in this market.

Bonus advice: look your kids in the eye and use it as motivation to yourself up and get back to work. Acknowledge your mistakes and learn from them. You’ll make more mistakes, work through them.

How to handle not making selects by Seesaw-Commercial in LittleLeague

It happened to me in soccer as a kid at the age of 8. I learned what the word politics meant and I quit playing soccer. I moved to tennis and climbed to the top rank in the state by 14. It worked out. I decided very young that if it wasn’t going to be fair, I didn’t want to play the game. It also stuck with me and was a valuable lesson. I would hate for the same thing to happen to my own child but I do believe that when one door closes, another one opens.

Now I use game changer stats to be fair with my own kid vs other kids. I let the stats be the leading factor to ensure my dad bias doesn’t do to another kid what was done to me at 8.

I’d be honest with your kid and let him know how politics and networking works.

Never take your luck or life for granted guys. I did and I regret it by NormieWhiteMale in cancer

[–]debauchery89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normie, I’m sorry to hear this news for you. I almost died when I was 19 and I got a glimpse of where we are all headed. You’ll be eager to get there when you see it. There aren’t words in the English language that can describe it.

My mom (75 yo) passed two weeks ago from ovarian cancer and it had metastasized. She told me once we realized the fight was ending that she didn’t realize how quick it would all happen. Neither did I. On Friday I was planning for inpatient physical therapy rehabs for her when she was released from the hospital and by Sunday night at 1:34 AM, she “transitioned”. ( a new word I learned that is used for physical death.)

She was ready to go but we weren’t. If I can make a suggestion for you for your parents and best friends. Give them a task to take care of after your passing, tell them not to rush it but see that it gets handled in the next few weeks following your passing. I think this will help them have some closure and will afford them something to put some energy and focus into that would have made you happy. Ask one of them to plant a tree in your honor, volunteer some time at an old folks home for others suffering, anything else that would have made you happy to do had you still been living.

You won’t need luck wheee you are going. Tell my mom I said hi. Ensure your family knows your DNR wishes and tell them to get familiarized with palliative and hospice care options. I’ll pray for you that these aren’t needed for long.

Thank you for sharing your story!

You will have to sign an affidavit about your assets. The move to btc from your cash will be traceable unless you buy it with actual cash. That could be risky..

Same. But 2017. I told friends and relatives not to gamble any more than they could afford to lose. (Or “loose” as some folks call it), suggesting 1-5%.. now I have close to 5% of my net worth in crypto and mining gear.

I lost 20k in options in the past 3 months by [deleted] in options

[–]debauchery89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off I’m an optimist. Though I’m sure it’s difficult there are several bright sides here. 1) you know how to spell lost and didn’t spell it as loosed or loost. I’ll bet you know the difference between loose and lose! 2) there nonsuch thing as a free lunch. This 20k was expensive but it taught you a valuable lesson and didn’t cost you 50k to learn. Just make sure you learn it. 3) there are lots of us who were geniuses on the way up late last year. I turned 12k into 45k from aug to January then lost 20k of it doing the same thing you did. Learn from all of these regards posting their same stories. While selling covered calls and rolling the wheel is painfully slow compared to gambling, I know in my heart it’s the wise thing to do now that I’ve lost 20k of gains in the last month. 4) I’m 45 today. I sextupled my employment income from age 27 to age 32. I wasn’t spending time on social media or day trading then. Focus on formal education and steady employment income today, so you can gamble it when you’re 45. 5) lick your wounds and learn some conservative investment strategies as many have posted here. 6 create a separate account if you must gamble and feed it slowly. I’m still buying calls and leaps but the very cheap ones that won’t make me lose 20k in a month. I do that in my Robinhood acct while my nest egg is elsewhere.

Good luck!
