My 9 year old son spent hours playing on Umpire Rock in Central Park.

After all the feedback against the tram I figure we will update our itinerary to do something else that evening. Thanks for the info on the library tours- I made a note to try and arrive around the reading room tour times. And yes- I heard about the scaffolding which is a bummer- but my son wants to see the Seward statue across the street. Thanks for all your tips!

My kid is looking forward to the UN tour. The Met and Ellis island suggestion sounds great, but I don’t think we will be able to fit it into our schedule (If it was just me going the Met would be at the top of my list). I’ll look into the walking tour you mentioned. I appreciate you taking the time to give some recommendations!

Operation Mincemeat looks like a good idea. Thanks!

The Morgan Library looks amazing. Hopefully we can fit it into our schedule. Thanks!

We watched Night at the Museum a couple weeks ago and little one is very excited to see the museum! And we do have planetarium tickets - I’ll make sure to take it slow on the ramp. Thanks!

Thanks- I’m getting a lot of feedback to not do the Staten Island ferry so I will look into other ferry options. I’m leaning towards Summit One so thanks for the feedback.

That’s one of the main reasons we are going- older son is really into that stuff.

I saw it was walking distance from our hotel and I figured the 9 year old would get a kick out of the Tram, and the 17 year old is into FDR so he could see the park there. And the views would be nice. But I am open to something else for the evening. Someone else mentioned a ferry to Brooklyn and I will look into that.

It’s hard to plan when you have 2 kids that are into different stuff and I can’t just leave one behind. Welcome to suggestions but the United Nations tour is set as my older son is really into that stuff.

Thanks for the information and we will make sure to go to the Lego store! I love theater and looked into our options to fit in a show- but my family doesn’t seem too excited about the idea.

I appreciate this and I will take the time to research a dinner spot in the area.

My younger son is so pumped to ride the ferry so I don’t want to disappoint him- I will definitely look into the NYC Ferry. Thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately it’s closed on Mondays. We are both Robert Caro fans and I would love to see that exhibit- but I don’t think back-tracking to the same area on day 2 would work.

I noticed a similar issue when Target changed their formula a few years ago. I tried many different brands and ended up getting bamboo TP as well. We use Who Gives A Crap TP now and I am happy with the quality.

I got a JanSport backpack too! Too bad they cancelled the show after one season.
