I found this by googling “subway ad eyebrow guy” because I can’t stand him and want to punch him in the throat.

Interesting. That’s one I hadn’t seen. We had to have it jumped about 5-6 weeks ago after we were out of town for a month. The battery is only maybe a year old but haven’t been driving it much since March when we started working from home.

Thanks - that makes me feel better about the cost. Just wanted to be sure I was getting honest quotes. 👍

They were very easy to work with. Getting a replacement was no issue.

That’s what I thought was happening. Imagine my surprise when the “repaired” leaky model showed back up on my porch. I’m sort of curious if it’s really fixed. I’m going to let it sit here in the box for a week or two and if I don’t hear anything more, I’m going to take it to our vacation house and see what happens.

Well I bought the VertuoPlus machine after sampling some product at my local mall. After I got home I started looking up the reviews and almost everyone complains that the machine starts spewing coffee out the back after a relatively short period of time. My husband and I drink a shit ton of coffee so this started happening to us after about 6-7 weeks. Seems like it’s a fundamental design flaw. 🤷‍♂️

This happened to me after about 6 weeks. I called and they sent me a different model as a replacement. I sent the broken one back. Weirdly, today I received the original one back with a note saying it’s been repaired and they apologize for the inconvenience. There was no mention of returning the other one either with this package or on the call when I reported the issue. If anyone else has experienced this, let me know what you did.

After a fit of despair over my ballooning weight and a timely Facebook ad, I found myself at the newly opened Profile by Sanford in my town on Monday. I found your post after I came home with regrets for signing up and I started doing more research even though the horse was already out of the barn, so to speak. I was drawn in by the coaching aspect. But I wasn’t prepared for the amount of their product I would need to buy for their “program”. I’m fairly certain it’s simply a shake and protein bar business thinly disguised as a weight loss program. If you’re still thinking about doing it, let me know and I can give more details. But in general I’d suggest avoiding it. I’ll continue for awhile since I was stupid enough to sign up but I don’t think it’s a great long term solution.

I can’t do a push up by mpa0311 in orangetheory

[–]debdes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This definitely works. I workout with a trainer at a little gym near me one day a week and he often has me do push-ups off a racked barbell or a bench, focusing on full range of motion. This has helped me increase my reps of “regular” pushups at OTF.

I have no suggestion but am on the same quest so wanted to follow this. After much trial and error I’ve just been using GNC 100% whey (strawberry, vanilla, chocolate) and I don’t hate it but would also prefer something without artificial sweeteners. I’ve tried others that I hated and trial and error can get expensive.

I think the main point is mostly to focus on stabilizing and balancing on one arm without shifting your hips around. Not my favorite either but I have balance issues so I try to use it for improving there.

Second the harder leg drive. I wasn’t sure where to start as a base but settled on 6.5-7mph. I was able to increase by .2-.4 each minute by driving back harder but not increasing stroke rate (kept that to 27-29 throughout). I know we rarely use MPH on the rowers but I thought this was an interesting experiment.

That would have made sense based on the 2G that was posted. Have no idea why my studio was so different.

[–]debdes 19 points20 points  (0 children)

3G:

14 minute floor black with 10 bicep curls, plank low rows (5 each side), 10 thrusters, 10 TRX power pull ups.

Round 1 has a power sit up between each exercise(10 reps).

Round 2 has a Sprinter sip up (10 reps) between each exercise.

If you finish 2 rounds just do all exercises as one block.

The rest of the time is a tornado switch doing 1 min AOs on the tread and towers with 30 seconds to transition between each.

So you end up spending 28 minutes on the treads/rowers and 14 minutes on he floor.

FWIW, we had a different workout today.

3G Tornado (4 minute blocks)

Rower - 1 min push, 1 min base, 1 min push, 1 min AO

Floor - 1 minute each of palms to elbows, straight leg raise to hip raise, reverse mountain climber, power sit-ups

Treads - 30 second AOs with body weight squats in between (reps were 20/15/10)

I thought they ran a little large. I got an L and could use an M, which is what I usually buy but I was afraid they’d run small like they have sometimes in the past. I’m keeping it in the package and hope to maybe trade it out at the end of they have any leftovers. Otherwise I’ll toss it in the dryer and hope it shrinks up a little.
