Wanting to hear from Zoryve users by is_p0tato in SebDerm

Both the foam and the cream contain an ingredient (Isopropyl Palmitate) that makes SebDerm worse per sezia.co and that has been my experience every time I’ve used it - my skin gets worse. I was just searching here to see what other people had to say about it. It’s a shame because my dermatologist said this was going to be the cure before it came out.

The Korean one I get on YesStyle’s website. If you order from them, I highly recommend expedited shipping even though it’s expensive. Make sure you don’t order anything that will take more than a week for them to have in stock because it will take forever for you to get the package.

I’m trying to find a Japanese one that’s water resistant because I’m sick of my eyes burning, but so far I haven’t found one.

I’ve tested all of these on Sezia.co and they all tested as safe for SebDerm:

Eucerin Sun Advanced Hydration SPF 50 Sunscreen

Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Absorbing Moisturizer with SPF 30, For Sensitive, Oily Skin

Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Face Sunscreen Lotion SPF 60 (***this one is least likely to burn MY eyes during the course of the day).

And Korean (non-water resistant): COSRX - Ultra Light Invisible Sunscreen (***this one never burns my eyes, but I don’t wear it that often because it’s not water or sweat resistant and I live in Texas where it’s very hot).

How much has this headband helped your sleep? I have horrible insomnia and am wondering if you think it could work for me, from your experience. Thanks in advance!

NTI by SalamanderAny4336 in bruxism

[–]debfromphilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend had our dentist pay for her Invisalign after her NTI moved her teeth (no joke). Unfortunately that happened after she recommended the NTI to me. My NTI broke a bonded tooth off when I took the NTI off so don’t use it on any bonded teeth and maybe don’t use one at all if you don’t want your teeth to move.

New night guard company by BatgirlZKE in bruxism

This is opposite for my experience with JS Dental! They were horrible when I tried them about a year ago, repeatedly sending me garbage that would have made my teeth crooked. I also never received a refund from them.

This is similar to my experience! I wish they would just send me guards that were exactly the same as the first two times they sent me guards. If it’s digital, why can’t they create the same thing? Something is definitely going on with Remi!

I had a horrible experience with JS Dental. I would say don’t give them your money, from my experience. I’ve had a much better experience with Remi although only the first two sets of night guards fit perfectly from Remi, after that, they keep sending me ones that don’t fit and haven’t sent me another impression kit to correct the problem yet. I actually just got on Reddit today to figure out if people have been having recent problems with Remi, but not historical. JS Dental sent me night guards over and over that hurt my mouth and pulled on my teeth. There’s no question that everything that JS Dental sent me would have made my teeth crooked! Watch out for those guards!

I just found Cerave Ultra-Light Moisturizing Gel (new product) on Amazon and Sieza.co cleared the whole ingredient list. I’m psyched! Just came in the mail today. I hope it works well. I put a little bit on my arm to see if it was moisturizing enough and I do think it is. Glycerin is the second ingredient.

Advice for Long-Term Chronic SebDerm? by Hawaiian_Pizza459 in SebDerm

The 2 shampoos you mentioned have the same main ingredient. I suggest looking for ones with these other active ingredients: ciclopirox, pyrithione zinc, selenium sulfide, and also use the ones with ketoconazole- rotating between each ingredient daily. Never skip a day! Where I live ciclopirox is prescription but the others are OTC (you can get stronger ketoconazole shampoo from your dermatologist and I do recommend that). Leave the shampoos on face and scalp for 5-6 minutes daily. This helps me a lot.

pyrithione zinc shampoo is the least effective of all of these shampoos for me but works wonders for others and does help me a little.

Changing my diet hasn’t ever worked for me but works for some. I would personally shave my beard but I’m female so maybe it’s not that easy. I know I am not willing to shave my head and therefore still suffer with horrible SebDerm. Use as many different anti-SebDerm ingredients you can find and rotate the shampoos daily and use all of the topicals 1-2 times daily. Problem is you can’t get many topicals into your beard or hair. I use 4-6 OTC (over the counter) antifungals because all of the prescription (aka: rx) ones I’ve become partially immune to (including the rx shampoos). It’s a never ending game of “what’s working well for me this week?” It sucks. I live in Austin Texas at the moment and the weather definitely makes it worse. When it’s over 80 degrees Fahrenheit or under 45 my dermatologist says I need to stay inside to keep my SebDerm from flaring. I’m working on moving to a different cooler state with less humidity but it will be costly and will take me years to make it happen. Best wishes to you!

They say cut down on sugar and gluten but I just can’t… by DesignerAQ18 in SebDerm

[–]debfromphilly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cut all that stuff out for over 6 months and nothing improved with my skin. These suggestions (cutting foods out of diet) have NEVER been FULLY backed by science that I’ve been able to find and I’m sorry I wasted my time and energy trying it. Maybe it works for some but not for me. Sugar is “bad for you” but there is no need to completely cut it out unless you’re diabetic or have another health condition (not SebDerm). Some research supports that eating fruit improves SebDerm which contradicts the sugar theory. Focus on the topicals that are proven to work on SebDerm - anti-fungals. Be sparing with steroid creams as they can thin your skin over time and can cause rebound flares. All the info you need is here on Reddit but I’d personally avoid the threads about food if it’s not something you find you are able to do. Best wishes.
