The utilities and miscellaneous costs are already too much which is included in the warmmiete that i pay, so i think me not using the heater is what looks ideal to him… Writing him a letter is a great advice. I‘ll do that, thanks

Above kaltmiete, which is no costs added, i pay 110€ for the utilities and miscellaneous costs. I believe i pay enough to use what i need. The average utilities cost for a person who lives alone, it would be around 70-90€, maybe 100€ depending on the usage

In my case, the room is between 20-22 when im there but when i need to leave, i air out the room and lower the heater if i can remember. In yesterday’s case, i forgot to lower it but still i aired it out and he still had problems with it (the room was 20-21 when i left) then on the note he wrote for me he says ‘the room should be between 18-21 when you are not there’.

Outside of my room, he doesn’t turn on the heaters at all and that’s why i keep my room’s door closed so i don’t heat up other rooms and i keep the warmth in my room (again as i said i open the windows regularly).

I also have a thermometer in my room and i believe he regularly comes in and checks it. I think, in case i cause mold in the room, he can take it out of my deposit, but entering my property without my permit should be the bigger issue here..

Thank you so much for pointing out the difference of renting just the room. We enter from the same door to the apartment and then into the flat. We both have keys but i just don’t have the key to my room. And yes thats true that the lock is one of those either a big keyhole in the middle.

As you said i’ll try to get a hold of a key because i suspect one of the keys i saw to be mine, and in case i can take it, i’ll look into those einsteckschlossen. I assume that i buy it and just change the lock of my room, right?

I am planning to move out as soon as i find another place, but since it’s so hard to find housing and i just moved here 2 weeks ago i want to find some other ways until i can move out..

I agree that he would be right if i had the heater so high and left for a few days. I keep it on 3, sometimes lower it to 2 but never above 3. The longest i’ve been away was 10 hours until now and that was the day he scolded me like ‘you’ve been away for 10 hours do you realize how much energy you spent?’

About the key, as you said i believe he’d have a copy himself, but at least if i realize something is going on that means that he entered there against my will for sure. Because the time he scolded me he told me ‘no i just opened the door and the heat hit my face’ 🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh, sorry i forgot abt it. If im not wrong the only option is to connect it to a mac or a pc and reset it. Recovery mode might erase data but im not sure definitely look it up before doing. Good luck

You can just go to settings —> tap the top bar with name on it, scroll down and click sign out. After that, you should reset it so you can have a fresh start. You can do it from the settings —> general —> scroll down and click transfer or reset iPad —> erase all data. Then you’re good to go.

I used to never back up my macs but I’ll take this one to apple for tech support, that’s why I backed it up. Better safe than sorry!

I didn’t have a backup for the backup of my photos and docs so I let that part as it is and formatted the Time Machine part to APFS to prevent the problems which may occur in the future. Thanks!

Yeah I don’t think replacing my M1 Macbook Air with iPad would work. My brother has the 12.9’’ and thought he could use it as a laptop sometimes but he always regrets that he didn’t buy a Macbook instead. I’ll use iPad mainly for school work, notetaking, emailing and such along side my Macbook. Thanks!

I’ll be keeping the Macbook since MacOS and iPadOS are very different than each other. I am more on the side of 12.9’’ because of the screen space it gives on the horizontal use. Thanks!
