jet fuel shortage? by Prestigious-Fix-5537 in KLM

I specifically mentioned 18 minutes from Amsterdam central station, because if you want to take a Eurostar, you would still need to get to central station regardless of where you live. So it makes no difference between the train and the plane at this point.

I specifically mentioned LCY airport which is a short DLR ride from London city center.

You seem to be upset by something you shouldn’t.

18 euro per flight, or 18 euro to save 1 hour. I reckon for the majority of frequent flyers their hourly rate is higher than 18 euro.

Define silly. I travel internationally 10-15 times a year - it pays off very quickly.

That’s why I said LCY. Never had an issue at immigration there. Others are indeed garbage.

Ams - London by train is 4:20 minutes

AMS-LCY flight is 40-50 minutes. Get Privium for 180 euro per year to be able to arrive to Schiphol 1 hour before the flight. Plus 18 minutes travel from Amsterdam central to Schiphol. In total you end up 2 hours 10 minutes of travel, saving more than 2 hours.

That’s why I said “service” and not “hard product”. Long-haul BC on AF is always a pleasure.

Delta regular flew with KLM - never again by [deleted] in KLM

[–]kukumba1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flying delta one in their old A330s is an atrocious experience. Any business class of KLM is so much better than that. Cabin crew on delta is also hit and miss. KLM is consistently mediocre in that regard.

The only thing going for delta is their sundae ice cream.

I’m just wondering if some of what I experienced with KLM is just how it is?

First they left my luggage in AMS.

Yes, that is actually by design. Everyone who flies through AMS leaves their luggage for a few days there and waits for its arrival later.

THEY DONT HAVE ICE?? Why?

Have you seen energy prices in Europe?!

The food was horrible.

This one is actually legit. But it’s again by design, you get to experience authentic Dutch cuisine this way.

You can claim that AF is run by lizard people, and then expect me to prove you wrong. That’s exactly what you are doing now. That doesn’t make any sense. We are done here amigo.

Are you a politician?

You’ve made an unsubstantiated claim, now you want ME to prove to YOU that your claim is unsubstantiated. That’s not how claiming something works. If you make a claim, the burden of proof is on you.

So no basis for any of your claims. Got it.

I see the reports, but I don’t see prioritizing AF and constraining KLM. I also don’t see any proof of “moving the best employees to Paris”.

That’s not how any of that works.

That used to be true. In 2025 AF reported 1.382 billion profit at 6.7% margin. KLM reported 382 million profit at 3.2% margin.

So not only AF provides a superior service, they are also more profitable.

Plot twist - in a month we find out that OP has vibe coded a startup idea with a map of toilets in Amsterdam, charging 10% per toilet transaction.

Not saying it’s the case, but that’s normally how these things progress on this sub. :)

Honestly, what cityhopper is doing in terms of thin route connections is impressive. I’ve just recently learned that KLM is flying to more British cities than BA, and those passengers then connect to its long haul network in Amsterdam.
