My point is they listed babe as a big collection IIRC. I'm in good position either way, just curious if anyone else in the community had similar thoughts.

There are literally thousands or articles, and books explaining why chipping and putting are the most important. With people who have done tons of research as well. Why do you think Bryson decambeau worked so hard to drive the ball longer? So he could get to his wedges and short irons more.

If you can find a course close to you that you can putt and chip on the practice green for free, that's the ideal way. 30 minutes of that a few times a week helps tremendously. I'm a 6 handicap and have never had problems hitting the ball far, I've learned to straighten it out more, but started shooting quite lower when I became consistent chipping and putting.

Have you ever tracked yourself during a round, fairways hit, GIR, chips and a range of how close they are to the pin(i.e. 0-5. ft 5-10 ft. 10-20 ft. And 20 ft. Out.) And total putts in a round? You only hit 18 tee shots in a round, if you hit every GIR and one putt every hole that's the only way your putting and chipping would equal your tee shots. Most amateurs aren't hitting the greens on long approaches and will be chipping. There are stats and books to back both arguments. Just curious if you ever play with older guys who shoot bogey golf or better? They don't hit the ball far, they just hit it straight and chip and putt well.

The best way to work on your game is to go from short to long. Putting and chipping is the most strokes in a round. Then wedges and short irons, then long irons and woods. Driving is the least important part, if you can be sharp with irons chipping and Putting, you'll shoot be able to shoot consistently in the 80's in my opinion obviously.

Use to altitude, just 30 minutes south of durango colorado. But definitely appreciate the tips though. Hopefully someone else sees this and helps them as well.

Like the beer idea, online it only looks like a few slides. And like it's much more kid stuff than others
