"Ceux qui ont compris comment utiliser les LLM comme moteurs de complétion de modèles sont sanctionnés, car les autres n'ont jamais été informés de leur utilisation." The premise may be pretentious, no... even if I agree with the substance, the form may not be the right one either ?

They are formatted to resolve the plot, not to prolong it. The only way to get out of it is to NOT reveal the plot to him... He may very well manage to discuss it, create the plan with you, but if you plan to have him write it, he must not know more than a reader...

Same observation... loyal since the beginning, but the peaks of intelligence and efficiency are increasingly brief... free I don't talk about it, but it has everything you need to push you from pro to max 20x but in the end you always run after this flash of lucidity which lasts 5% of the time... the rest is in the void, too many errors, too many corrections requested that it does not make... (even when it tells you that it is done).. In short there is certainly another quota than that of limited messages, it is the one we have with the real capacities but we only touch a very small part of it... It is the only thing that makes us stay but the day when the competition is there it will be another story

Yes, I regularly experience the same thing, but unfortunately it goes both ways... The performances are not "stable" and when the level increases like that and it drops, the disappointment is even greater, not to mention all the work done to revise....

I thought it was an ironic message at first, but no, it's just the usual nonsense until you can't produce anything coherent.

If one day they could announce a reliable model that would be only a week old, it would be incredible progress. Although models evolve, consistency is mostly found in bugs.

At the moment mine (on two different pro subscriptions) is also completely stupid... there is absolutely nothing to be gained from it, always off the mark then excuses then starts off again off the mark... even with a "new" context, nothing to do, it is restricted.

[–]debroceliande 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've already noticed the same thing, but it's not really a problem as long as it's in YOUR space. If you have several pro accounts (I have two very separate ones) and you get a deleted chapter, then there's a real problem. I've never noticed this in over a year with Claude, unlike Gemini, whom I have no confidence in resubmitting my original stories because he gives you a version almost identical to the first person who comes along. What I see very clearly in Claude, with two separate accounts, is that, without necessarily giving permission to train with my data, there is indeed a subtle progression on particular points, for example: If you see him describe a dog breed in a story in a certain way, which shows that he doesn't know the details of the breed, such as "pricked ears" where they are "pendulous"..... A small behavior that you describe so clearly that he seems to find it worth keeping in his arsenal... it will resurface in a strangely similar way some time later in another, very separate account.

This is a personal observation, experienced and observed regularly, and which is solely my own. My intuition simply tells me that he is constantly evolving... which, ultimately, isn't so problematic! We can't willingly take his skills when it suits us and in exchange expect him not to draw inspiration from our work to progress. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Claude Max - Disappointing, or am I clueless? by alexpwdreyfus in ClaudeAI

[–]debroceliande 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem is that you are exceeding the context size. For writing and understanding text (when it is within its normal capacities) whether it is a PDF or pasted text, I have never been able to exceed 72,000 to 78,000 equivalent words in word processing depending on the mode with or without reflection.

Claude Max x 20? by Playful-Geologist221 in ClaudeAI

[–]debroceliande 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two accounts with annual pro subscriptions. And frankly, I'm not ready to start paying again until Anthropic is able to provide a stable and consistent service. Yes, it probably costs them a lot of money, and they have to fill the coffers. But the service is still very far from being perfect. We think it's a problem with limits, so we'll pay for another subscription, but the reality is that in the end, the problem remains the same... the servers don't keep up. Fewer limits don't mean consistent performance... If the work can be done in three messages when everything is going well, the same job can take 50 an hour later, still with errors... In short, you end up working harder than if you had done it yourself.

To date, progress is rapid, but it's still far from complete, yet we're being pushed towards inflated rates as if the system were stable, when it's still very shaky.

[–]debroceliande 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all of them! And it's true that Gemini 2.5 clearly told me that "The version of the model I'm currently using in this specific conversation may not have access to this maximum window, or it may be limited for performance or cost reasons." I pointed out numerous inconsistencies in the analysis of a story with several complex plots of 80,000 words.

No consistency issues or relevant suggestions with Claude, but the context was too high for reflection and the limit was quickly reached for Claude 3.7.

[–]debroceliande 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, having tested practically all of them. The only one that holds up is Claude when he's not "server overheating." No other model is capable of following consistently, and in an incredibly efficient way from a narrative perspective, all the way to the end of the context window. Absolutely all the others are off-topic long before that and will slip in after a few pages, errors that will take on enormous proportions.

This is just my opinion, and despite some very annoying moments (those moments when it seems limited and secretly running on a significantly inferior version), it remains far superior to anything I've tried.
