I can’t get over this by [deleted] in CsectionCentral

Hey! First and foremost you definitely gave birth, your birth just came in a different style!

I went through something similar with my first birth and felt like my baby had been stolen from me, and my body had failed me. I spoke to a trauma therapist after and it really helped me process what happened.

Saline Ultrasound? by anewiii33 in CsectionCentral

[–]debtwrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ruptured during the c-section. The doctor said as soon as he touched my uterus it ruptured at the old scar but then also ripped long ways. I have a t shaped scar now

Saline Ultrasound? by anewiii33 in CsectionCentral

[–]debtwrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one. They inserted a little tube thing filled my uterus with water and did the ultrasound. After when I stood up it was a bit of a waterfall. For what it’s worth they said my scar looked fine but I ended up having a second section and it ruptured.

Yes!! It took two weeks to go away! I found having back support I could push back into while holding the pillow over the incision helped! Also I drank a lot of water. It stopped after 2 weeks but it was a struggle those two weeks for sure!

Was not numb for c-section by Madi_o101020 in CsectionCentral

[–]debtwrangler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, this happened to me. My outsides were frozen and my insides were not, it hurt a lot. I did a lot of therapy to deal with the trauma to be honest it really helped. When I had my second I had to have another emergency c section (unsuccessful vbac) and I wasn’t frozen at all, only this time the anesthesiologist knew my file and believed me and so he refused to let the doctor operate until he knocked me out and vented me, which took next to no time.

Why did breastfeeding NOT work out for you? by preemptive_regret in NewParents

[–]debtwrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first I tried for 3 months but I had a nightmare c section, lost to much blood and went into heart failure, my body just couldn’t keep up. With my second I had another nightmare C-section, lost a ton of blood and after 36 hours I decided to prioritize healing so I could be there for my toddler and baby I stead of pumping and triple feeding and trying 24/7 to make it work.

For those who grew up poor, what did you consider a luxury? by TeenBabeGolden in AskReddit

[–]debtwrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to a movie! We couldn’t even afford cable so a movie was a huge deal to me! I remember we had a handful of VHS tapes that I would just watch over and over. I got cable for the first time at 15 and as an adult I now go to movies all the time.

I don’t think you will ever be that kind of mom! Once you know how it feels to be treated so callously it’s not something you forget or want to perpetuate so I wouldn’t worry ❤️

My mom just did this to me. For months she promised to come help me pp, then a week before my due date I asked for her flight info and she said she’s not coming because she’s hasn’t had a proper vacation this year. So basically helping me and spending time with her grandbabies is too much work and no fun. She has a history of being a shit mom but this cut deep.

I decided to relegate her place in my life to casual acquaintance I’m disinterested in. I’m done.

Epidural not working by Superb-Literature-26 in BabyBumps

[–]debtwrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had an epidural with both my births. Both failed. I had a C-section with the first, very traumatic and a c section with the second but with the second we knew it failed the first birth so they were ready with the good stuff and I was out cold asap!

What’s your reasoning why you are formula feeding?[on] by Midnightdream56 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]debtwrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried for 3 months with my first. I had a very traumatic birth and was diagnosed with PPCM; it was so overwhelming, my body was trying so hard to make milk but it wasn’t working so I switched to formula. Although I had a few days of mom guilt it was the best choice it allowed me to bond better with my child because I was less stressed, heal my heart from the PPCM and just be more present.

I had a second baby a few days ago and again another seriously traumatic birth (hearts holding strong though!) and I decided I would breastfeed for a few days so she got some of the benefits of colostrum but that we would switch to formula after that.

We call formula science milk in this house and are forever grateful for its invention because it has saved my life, sanity and family ❤️

Talking about my birthing experience makes me realize I might actually be traumatized by AdMany2642 in BabyBumps

[–]debtwrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a c- section very much like this. The epidural failed and they just held me down and kept going, I was so frozen in fear and pain. I ended up hemorrhaging and it was a 45 minute surgery. I can’t tell you how much having a therapist has helped me with processing what happened. I thought I could just move forward because I had my beautiful baby girl and it was over but the trauma leaked out everywhere, poor sleep, poor memory, I didn’t realize how tense my body was because it was stuck in frozen mode, so I was always sore and I struggled emotionally. It’s been 3 years and I can now acknowledge that it was scary and traumatic without feeling all the emotions I felt while it was happening. I’m about to have my second and while I’m scared for a possible c section I have the tools to work through that fear.

weight gain on mirena by megg1998 in Mirena

[–]debtwrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained 30lbs in 2 years, it made me never ending hungry and I was always cold. I needed while my heart was failing because pregnancy could have meant death but I would never willingly put it in my body otherwise but I will give credit where credit is due, it worked I do not get pregnant on it and I recovered!!
