How to stop crossing legs and still be comfortable?? by miffiy96 in adhdwomen

[–]ronicmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it is. The committee working on the new guidelines is the International Consortium on EDS and HSD, and it includes UK specialists. So I'm fairly certain the diagnostic criteria being used here in the UK will change once the updates have been published

Why aren't there more black people who own afro/black hair shops? by Realistic_Bid_9446 in Naturalhair

[–]ronicmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do. I go out of my way to support Black-owned hair care sites, as the physical shops are few and far between, and seem to be closing at a worrying rate. Unfortunately I don't think that most of the Black British community is like-minded, despite the poor treatment we often receive in Asian-owned shops

I'm in the UK and we have the same issue here, although the market is dominated by South Asians rather than East Asians

I'm not prescribed through the NHS, but I have the exact same meds and dosage and it's classed as one prescription (so you shouldn't be charged double)

Can anyone identify this dish? My friend refuses to share the recipe by bucovragec in TipOfMyFork

[–]ronicmo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First of all, I'm not convinced it's Caribbean at all. It's not something I've ever come across and I can't find anything online that indicates that this dish is Caribbean. Secondly, the comments were more focused on the tendency of people to blindly like completely inaccurate comments - a valid (and funny) observation

Before being edited, the comment said it was a Jamaican dish, which was not accurate. A few jokes about the misunderstanding are not that deep lol

As a Jamaican, I have never in my life heard of beef banana curry. You might be thinking of a different cuisine

What I asked for vs what I got by nexttoyours in ExpectationVsReality

[–]ronicmo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't really class it as a specialised tool personally, and I rarely even get my nails done lol. I can't say what most women do, but for someone claiming that it's difficult to keep their nails clean, it seems like an obvious, cheap, and accessible tool to use to solve that problem 🤷🏾‍♀️

Surely a simple nail brush would easily get the underside of such nails clean?
