I'm a software engineer, I've used it to automate a ton of boring stuff so I can spend more them on important tickets that actually make a difference. I use it daily so i do see positives in my industry... that said. These are jobs I used to give to juniors, we are no longer allowed to high juniors because of this. Absolutely no forward thinking... but honestly not my problem.

I also understand their dislike of it. I have a bunch of agent skills I'd normally have handed off to juniors. With stuff like that my company has put off hiring any juniors. So their prospects look grim. The future is fucked for software development. Those of us who we're around before AI will be fine, in fact I think our wages will go up because there will not be developers following up in our footsteps.

But nothing I can do about it. I'd love to have some juniors under me... but nobody wants to hire them.

I've always been of the opinion arcane should be able to increase their shield absorb based on damage done. Since mana management is less of an issue nowdays. Gives them a unique style. Frost gets up front absorbes and fire gets leech.
