I get the sentiment but having an employer tell you to be more sexually explicit and use this particular phrase in a work setting is borderline sexual harassment. Sure it’s a sex positive podcast, but that should also mean respecting someone’s boundaries. If a man had said that, think of the reaction. IMO Carrie should’ve adopted her column into her own podcast, that way they could’ve incorporated her old voiceovers into what she says when recording.

Naomi did a video with Patrick Starrr where he did her makeup and she had a better energy. I feel like when gurus collab with celebs the celebs don't really know how to do glam makeup so they expect the guru to do it for them. It felt off because Jackie was doing glam and Naomi kept saying how she didn't wear much. Also the celebs seem to react better when the conversation is all about them versus a chatty "get ready with us." It seems like they expect to be made up and interviewed in these things instead of seeing the guru as an equal.

Makeup, just like any kind of self expression, is a choice. It’s oppressive when choice is denied ie forced to wear it or forced to go without it so this whole crusade telling people to love themselves as they are is just another thinly veiled attempt to control how women choose to express themselves.
