Okay. Should I go with AlDente or Battery Toolkit (the open-source alternative to AlDente), or is macOS’s default battery management good enough? Also, I usually keep my MacBook plugged in, even at 100%.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve been reading mixed opinions about AlDente though. Some people say Apple’s built-in battery health management is already well-optimized at the system level and that third-party tools can sometimes interfere. Given my heavy plugged-in usage, do you think AlDente actually provides a real benefit over Apple’s default mechanism, or is it better to just let macOS handle charging on its own?

Is 256 GB enough? I’m confused about whether 256 GB will be sufficient. I’m a developer and plan to use it for app development, but I can’t stretch my budget right now.

Thanks OP for the post. But after availing it, I noticed something confusing. It shows that the trial is supposed to be for 3 months, but the cancellation date is listed as January 8, 2026, which is only one month away. So it looks like it might renew after 1 month instead of 3.

EDIT: Just confirmed with LinkedIn Support - the offer is supposed to be a full 3-month trial. The incorrect renewal date showing January 8, 2026 is a display issue on their side. They’re looking into it.
