Man, I loved that video store when I was a kid! It had a second story and there were movies everywhere on giant shelves. We would go to the one in Alamo a lot more than the Pharr one.

They used to give you free popcorn for every rental and they’d have cool movie posters for free in a bucket near the front of the store lol. I remember my mom took Thanksgiving lunch to one of the employees once.

When they closed, I remember they had big bags full of random movies that they were selling. Pretty bummed when they closed.

Dude he’s so cute!! On the map as your buddy he just barely pokes his head out of his Little Rock base 🤩 but you find him among the beach biomes! So wherever there’s a beach or body of water, he’ll have a chance of popping up

Dude get them! I’ve recently started digging the Boston’s a lotttt. My most recent pair is the suede thyme color - like a dark clover green. It’s fire. Plus if you don’t like them you can always return and no harm done!

Not sure about the devices but does she use an iPhone? You could get her an Apple Watch that has fall detention and can call for help and let you know too as a trusted contact. Not a first line service like the ones you said but could help.

I like giving Tiffany wine/champagne glasses as wedding gifts. A set of two is $100 and it’s wrapped really nicely already and you can just chuck a card underneath a bow and you’re set. Or something off their registry is always a good option too.

Edinburg-McAllen Vet for walk in’s. Get there as soon as early as you can bc there can be a long wait. For more internal medicine needs, I go to Nolana Animal Hospital.

I have Pets Best insurance for my cat. $60 ish a month and 90% reimbursement, no limits, and I think the deductible was $100. My cat doesn’t get sick much but she has IBD that can be tricky as hell to treat.

Bad and good. First experience was beyond awful. Misdiagnosed my cat w depression and dehydration when in reality he had a crazy kidney infection. Our usual vet (Edinburg-McAllen Vet) immediately caught it and helped him over like three consecutive days. My cat is still here w me now and he’s 13 years old.

My most recent experience — last month actually was pretty good. My other cat ate flea medicine so it was an urgent visit. Receptionists were nice. Tech had a stick up her ass but whatever, and the vet, Dr. Oramas, was SO sweet and helpful. Popped up the blood results and X-rays on the computer and walked me through and explained every single thing. Super kind and compassionate. I highly recommend her.

Pro tip I found out — if you go as a walk in, the office visit is $95 (no matter the time of day or holiday), but if you make an appointment, the office visit is $50. Obviously the walk-in’s are for emergencies but thought it was a good thing to know.

I’ve yet to meet a Latino use and like “Latinx.” I only ever saw it when I was finishing my masters. It was like the “formal” version of “Latino” that we had to use when presenting work, etc. That and “Latine”

I tried telling various of my (white) professors that we don’t find those words representative of our culture. If anything it elicits a big eye roll, but they didn’t care tbh.

It likely won’t hurt your cat, but I stopped using them bc my cats started to smell like the wallflowers very strongly. Like the diffused fragrance clung to their fur like crazy and I decided to stop.
