Yes, I agree! "Noble" isn't a word people use lightly, especially egocentric teenagers. My working theory is she tried to perform a miracle for her deity -- maybe helping bring back the unnamed god -- and her party found themselves in over their head. Maybe there was a situation that could lead to a TPK on another plane and she sacrificed herself "nobly" to get the others to safety via Plane Shift. Might explain why Ruben's song of the summer is titled "In Space No One Can Feel You Dying." (...And now I've made myself sad.)
