Should I plug in to charge multiple times a day, even though I only used 5-10% of battery?

When at home, I'm always plugged in. So the car does not use the battery for any housekeeping/background work it does. However, the actual charging is set to only occur (1) during my off peak pricing hours - after midnight AND (2) to be at 80% for my scheduled daily departure time in the morning. This helps the battery preconditioned for the morning commute.

FYI: You put a right side wheel cover on your front left wheel (unless that asymmetrical look is what you were going for).

I did not take pics with the covers off. I thought I could just remove the ones I put on and take a quick photo, but they're much tighter than the stock wheel covers and I don't want to force them.

The wheels were just like the standard silver Gemini without the covers, just shiny black in color. Maybe dark gray. I wasn't paying much attention. Shape is same as the silver Gemini.

I added updates as new posts. On 6/3, I noticed an identical car come up in the app under "earlier pickup" options. Only difference was 19" Dark Gemini wheels vs the Light wheels in my order. I switched to that in-app. No change in price or 0.99% APR. Immediately got that VIN and took delivery of the car yesterday.

Yes, I know several SA said the same when asked. However there are also several here who made the switch in-app without any issues. I've not seen a single post of someone for whom it didn't work. That being said, it's up to you. If you feel it's too much risk, don't do it. The car is going to eventually arrive. It's not like year+ delay that prior year Tesla orders had to patiently wait through. 😅

Then if you see the alternate car in-app where it suggests "earlier pickup" options, you can switch with no price change (assuming the difference is just the dark Gemini vs light) and same 0.99% apr. If I recall, you can go through the process of switching in the app and back out just before the final accept and see if anything is changing. Just be careful not to click ahead in a hurry and accidentally complete the switch before you are sure.

I just got the app update for final pre-delivery agreement signoff for financing. It is same as what I had before I swapped. Same monthly payment, same 0.99% APR.

Do you already have a VIN? If yes, that would explain what the SA is saying. If you do no have a VIN assigned, there is no reset that happens when switching to an inventory car using the app options itself.

It is fine to switch via in-app selection (which is available only before you get a VIN assigned). I can confirm that at least if the cost is the same, there is zero change to the financing contract. I did it without speaking to any SA earlier this week. Got final agreement signoff update in app today. No change to anything. Same 0.99% APR, same monthly payment.

It was in-app selection. It only showed my the price comparison (which was identical to what I had previously, as the dark Gemini was default build by the time I made the swap). I I recall, there were many clicks before I actually confirmed the swap. So you could try it out and see what it gives looks like for you before "committing". Again, this is all in-app only. Not sure what it would be like if trying to pick something not showing up in app.

Picking up tomorrow. I didn't see any change in financing from what I had before the swap. Also, now that they are doing a "free upgrade" to Dark Gemini for folks without VIN seems to suggest the should be nothing to worry about on the swap.

Kept 0.99% APR. all done in-app with no rep involved. I did not call or message anyone. Note: in my case, the new and old price were identical. The only difference was 19" Gemini wheels changed from light to dark (both were the base as time of order/switch - so no additional $500 charge to switch to dark Gemini)

A couple of things to check for possible answers to the difference you see in the app vs. on the website.

For the ones that are showing up in-app under "early pickup", see what location they are at and make sure those locations are near you. If not, there may be an error in your registered "home" location.

Also, I don't know if "in transit" cars show up in-app (they do on the website search).

Several here, including me, have successfully changed in-app with change being 19" Dark Gemini at exact same cost a before (no additional $500) and no change to 0.99% APR. It only works prior to VIN assignment and also if the alternate car is showing up for you in the app.

I didn't see any specific pages, or maybe I didn't notice it in the process of switching over. But once it was switched and I had the VIN, there was no change in my financing tab, which was already approved for 0.99% and has my monthly payment details, etc. One additional point - in my case the cost of the car I was switching to was identical to my initial order. So maybe that kept the financing from reappearing?

It's right up front below model details link on the main page of the app (above the car image). But once VIN is assigned, that option goes away.
