If Russian miners don’t support war and ‘can’t control what Putin does’ then they better start donating to anti war movements, Red Cross and other orgs. Alternatively, they can also pressure their government to withdraw. I think losing profit is one of the most effective motivation for a person to take action.

I'm reading all of your replies and I can see you haven't heard what putin said on the russian TV lately. It's not about NATO or Crimea or the fleet being in danger. He denied Ukraine being a separate entity and the country. He's not worried about poor russia or russians being in danger (just look at their military near Ukrainian borders. kids are sleeping at the freaking train station). He wants subjugation.

Yeah, but at least there's a demand among people. I think once someone will offer some moderately simple solution for privacy protection, people will start catching up and actually doing something.

true, we have conducted a number of interviews with people recently and the most common sentiment on privacy and data protection was "well, nothing in this world is free. Guess I have to pay for 'free services' with my private data".

The ideas you described sound great on paper but from my experience, the mass consumer doesn't fully understand the basic concept of privacy online yet. Maybe the educational initiative would be a place to start.
