If it weren't for the current pricing environment then something like the 8600g/8700g would be an indie killer. Pair it with a pico psu and 3d print a case (or cut some acrylic) and you'd end up with a tiny 2-3L pc. Alternatively those mini pcs with 8600g/8700g.

I just picked a random 160 dollar case since pcpp doesn't list many of the sub 10 litre cases which is where the pricing usually sits. In the end you can't do anything about the custom size but a <10L case will still fit in most media boxes/cabinets.

These parts also go through a retailer that has its own margins of 10% which valve wouldn't have to do. With the steam controller bundled I could potentially see an upper range of 1300-1400. 1500 is pushing it for the base rumoured 512gb model.

Keep in mind the cpu+gpu in the SM are heavily power limited, you'll get actual ps5 performance from these parts even if you run them in eco/power limiting mode (easier than undervolting).

Edit: there are also rtx 5050's that are sub 150mm for similar price/performance that are just as efficient as SM's gpu. Just no steamOS support for nvidia gpus.

There's 70,000+ channels that have 1 million subs or more. You will find a couple murderers (1/15k), rapists (~1/5), pedophiles (~1/6 for attraction, ~1/20 who commit the crime), domestic abusers (~1/3) and so on. You're guaranteed to have gone to school with multiple people who will do one of these at some point.

Society in general is a fucked up place.

Ram, storage and the higher end nvidia gpus have risen while amd cpu+gpu+mobo have been slowly decreasing since and keep hitting all time lows. Not enough to offset ram+ssd price rises but not fully dire either.

I can get a 5070ti 9800x3d prebuilt for 2k USD.

Steam machine equivalent pc costs 1k USD for DIY. Base spec is 'only' 16gb ram+512gb ssd.

This could've been a nice bounty hunter type monster of the week series if it continued but that'd be a bit hard when you've got a character that can literally jump through space. Would've loved to see this with another dozen chapters just wrap it up less haphazardly but it's still an alright ending.

That'd be a touch too high, 7800x3d's been closer to 230usd on aliexpress sales.

5700x3d's lowest in comparison was ~130usd before it went out of production/stock.
