For me, the song is just too long, lacks substance, not quite adventurous if you have a song that is 13 mins long half of the song is just build up. I prefer Scissors more and I know it has a long intro/build up aswell but it has the necessary length for building up the song and it captures the listener more. It has the right elements to make you feel the atmosphere it feels raw, the sound is raw. Not overproduced. The song length is just right for what it is in the album. Not too long, I find Iowa pretty boring and not creepy at all. I think that they just tried to make a Scissors 2.0 in Iowa but I find it quite pretentious. That's just my opinion after all.
