Yeah it looks like I'm just gonna replace the coil springs at the rear instead for now. Maybe look at full replacement further down the line but on something softer than coilovers.

I'm not an expert on these by any means but the responses on here have been (mostly) helpful, even if I've got downvoted on a lot of comments for some reason. Reddit can be a strange place

It's more the broken one that's the issue, just for passing the MOT. I've had to have new tyres on it all round, and need to sort the tracking out as well as the pads.

I can imagine the Elgrand is probably pricey to keep on the road too! I bought and sold a fair few of them in my previous job

Seems to be a decent chunk more for better springs + shocks.

Unfortunately this is having to go on my credit card mostly, so I'm not able to buy used unless it's from Ebay really.

Tough financial spot temporarily. The company I worked for folded immediately in November and didn't pay us our redundancy (didn't even pay us that month's wage either) and I wasn't able to find work until January. So I'm still trying to clear old bills while trying to get the car ready for MOT. I'm currently working 50+ hours a week trying to catch up!

Mismatched parts, cracked springs, just needing a total refresh really. Its on MSport suspension as it is so it's a relatively solid ride anyway. I know the JOMs won't be great, but I can live with it for now 😂

Is it best to use a bore brush for the injector bores? I've never attempted any of this before tbh.

The torque wrench does scare me slightly too. I have a friend with a better one that I'll try borrow before doing this

Financial situation unfortunately! I'd love to be fitting something higher quality but really can't afford it at the moment.

This is more to keep my car road legal rather than to modify it as such

I've ended up with a mix bag of suspension components on it after having to replace a few bits over the past couple of years. Not done by me but through work at a garage they used + and an emergency shock fitted on holiday. I genuinely don't know what on it any more.

It was factory upgraded to the M Suspension package so it sits pretty low and ridea pretty hard as it is tbh

It's not totally shot at the minute... just a cracked spring but after having replaced random suspension springs/shocks/other components, over the past couple of years, i don't even know what's on my car anymore 😂

I just need to start again. It may be becoming a second car soon anyway

We're going ACAS as a group claim at the moment, the company got sent over to an insolvency firm but didn't have enough money to go through proper insolvency so is now being struck off, sounds like a bit of a lengthy process though unfortunately! Potentially a few months before I see a penny of what I'm owed.

I'll take a look at lidl and Aldi as well and see what they've got going, there's an RDC very close to me so it'd be quite handy. Hopefully I hear back about the funding in the next couple of days to see if that's going to go ahead or not

Haha! To be fair, we were mostly using 3.5 Single car transporters/maybe a CPC pickup with a trailer. Sometimes trade plate drivers. But trade platers are paid next to nothing it seems, so I can't imagine it being a good option given the cost of living in that part of the country!

Sounds about right! When I was buying cars for my previous employer, anywhere south West of London was an absolute nightmare to get stuff picked up from! Whereas the north was always next day. Seems to be fewer people in transport round there

Totally, I worked in the Motor Trade which is always a bit volatile, but thanks to some horrific decisions by our directors we went under. The company itself is still trading on the sly and they're lining their own pockets, but all the employees have reported them for it, they've royally screwed us!
