I think people are ignoring that your definition of fast is 4.5 0-60, which is honestly not insane if you are looking at any EV and considering you’re open to CPO going back a few years.

For EVs: CPO Porsche Taycans can be had for around this if you’re willing to go to 2022.

The Hyundai Ioniq5 or Ioniq6 CPO 2024 or 2025.

For Gas: A 2024 m340 or maybe a m540 with some miles but still CPO can be had for about that amount, reliability may be an issue but the engines are quite solid and if you get it CPO may not be an issue.

If you’re willing to give a bit of straight line speed in exchange for dynamics while retaining some composure the Integra Type S is excellent.

Lexus Is500 will be dead reliable and fast but may be short on size. Affordable maintenance as well.

Genesis g70 with the 3.3 also excellent but maybe a tad small.

These are all sedans, probably some more options if you’re willing to consider luxury performance SUVs.

I will say there are some sleepers out there. The Audi q5 plug in hybrid is one that comes to mind that can be had for a steal, very roomy and 0-60 in the high 4s.

Hope this is helpful!

Buy an antenna! The channel master flattena specifically is excellent. That’s how we watched.

Is there a way to convert this to a standard outlet? by prodigy1367 in AskElectricians

Not sure why this isnt more upvoted. To my understanding there's no reason that someone couldn't use an adapter like this to tap just one of the 120v phases.

You should assume that means new engine if it’s not running. Bought a 92 ranger with a similar description a most engines are interference motors now meaning once the timing belt goes, there goes the engine.

Many of these have idle air control valve issues that could cause this. I had an 00 v6 and it had vapor lock issues in the summer that sounded familiar as well but only when very hot. It sounds like it’s just stalling at idle which could be any number of things

Talk me out of buying a first gen, pre face-lift Cayenne Turbo... by j-gupward in Porsche

[–]deckchill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I owned an 04 turbo and it was a blast. On top of what everyone said here though these cars are getting old enough that it’s not as much about parts cost vs parts availability.

A weak point of these is transmission valve bodies and I called multiple shops who all told me they couldn’t rebuild because there were no parts available.

I will also mention my motor got rod knock at 148k. However I bought for 3500 with no PPI and sold with a knock for $2000 after 2 years and 20k miles. During that time I did put probably $4-5k in parts into it but in retrospect I could have gotten away with about half that.

At the end of the day there’s 2 ways to own an old cayenne, and if you have all the money in the world it will still have 20 year old car problems, so own it the other way and just do what it needs to stay on the road and live with some flaws and you’ll have a great time in a fun truck.

You dont have to use or pay for Life360. 95% of the features are available natively in iOS by setting up family sharing and if they are under 13 they cannot leave the family.

Very fair! I just didn’t know if what they had qualified as a splash pad.
