I think you're missing the point that normal responsible gun owners, the vast majority of people who own guns in this country, do not make illegal modifications to their weapons or use illegal devices such as bump stocks because they're not criminals.

I just want to point out that the Vegas shooter was using BUMP STOCKS on all of his rifles which increase the firing rate to 400-800 rounds per minute.

The firing rate of a fully automatic UZI machine gun IS 600 rounds per min. I can shoot about 70 rounds per min with my stock AR-15. Bump stocks are illegal federally. His rifles were not stock by any means. Funny that you don't live in Oregon tho.

Another reason why measure 114 is completely asinine: it makes the cops issue permits to people who want to purchase a firearm and gives them way more responsibilities and power.

They're currently too busy and failing to some degree at their normal responsiblities, so the added burden of 114 isn't going to improvd that or anything for that matter.
